I was very disappointed with the breakfast service on our first day. We had to wait more than 20 minutes for our coffee. When I went to ask about the coffee we had ordered, a woman wearing glasses who appeared to be a supervisor shouted back at me, “You have to wait,” while giving me an unfriendly, frowning expression. I felt extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable being spoken to in that way simply because I was waiting for a service I had already ordered. Her voice was loud enough that other guests around us turned and looked at me. I found the situation very embarrassing and humiliating. In my opinion, this was very unprofessional and not the level of service I would expect from a five-star hotel. We also noticed that some breakfast items were only replenished after they had completely run out. This interrupted the flow of the breakfast service and resulted in other guests having to stand and wait for food to be refilled. For a hotel presenting itself as a five-star property, I believe the buffet should be monitored continuously and replenished proactively before items run out. I also noticed that the problem with birds disturbing guests during breakfast was not being properly addressed. There seemed to be no staff member taking responsibility for the issue or making any serious effort to find a solution. Instead, the problem was simply allowed to continue. For me, this hotel feels more like a three-star hotel trying to present itself as a five-star property. After returning home, I kept thinking about the experience and felt that I should share this review because these issues significantly affected my overall impression of the hotel.
If you are considering staying here, I strongly recommend reading the previous reviews carefully before making your decision!!!
We had our wedding at Amari Koh Samui and honestly couldn’t have picked a better place.
A huge thank you to Nanthawan and her team who were amazing from the very beginning. They were so accommodating, always quick to respond, and were there for us from start to finish. They really listened to what we wanted and helped make everything come together.
We had both a Thai ceremony and a Western ceremony, followed by a live band, DJ and fire show. We also added some extra things like a live roti station, photobooth and fireworks, and the team were so flexible in making all of these work for us. It was such a fun day and everything felt very personal to us.
All of the staff at the resort were incredibly friendly, and our guests had such a great time staying at Amari. The resort itself is really well maintained and the breakfast buffet was honestly incredible! Definitely something we all looked forward to every morning!
The beach is beautiful and clean, and the views are amazing, especially at sunrise and sunset. It really made the perfect setting for our wedding.
We’re so grateful to Nanthawan, her team and everyone at Amari for making our wedding day so special. We have so many amazing memories from our time there and we’ll definitely be back for our 10-year anniversary! ❤️🌴🥂
I had a wonderful stay at Amari Koh Samui and was very impressed with the overall experience. The resort is located in a convenient area of Chaweng, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, shops, and other attractions, while still providing a relaxing atmosphere away from the busiest areas.
The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a lovely design and all the facilities needed for a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was well maintained throughout our visit. I particularly enjoyed the resort’s beautiful tropical surroundings and the swimming pool, which was a great place to relax during the day.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. From check-in to check-out, everyone was welcoming and willing to assist whenever needed. The breakfast had a good variety of choices, including both local and international dishes, and the quality of the food was very good.
Overall, Amari Koh Samui is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing holiday in Koh Samui. The combination of a convenient location, beautiful surroundings, excellent service, and comfortable accommodation made my stay very enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Koh Samui.

We arrived at the hotel and were shown to our “garden view room” but at the entry point it was set next to a garbage tip that smelt of burning rubber. After complaining we were moved to another room but disappointed that this was our first experience of the hotel. The place is all a bit run down with stained deck chair cushions and maintenance of rooms a bit poor. When walking through the garden there were area that did not smell great. We sat at the middle pool and there were scuba diving lessons so it was noisy and after an hour we had to move. We ordered lunch and it took an hour to come as they misplaced our order. Staff are lovely which does make a difference but not the best experience overall.
