dusitD2 Samyan Bangkok is a great choice for a quick staycation when you just want to change the atmosphere without going far. Located in the Si Phraya area and close to Sam Yan MRT, it’s easy to get around, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and things to do nearby.
The room was modern with subtle Thai-inspired touches. The large windows offered great city views, while the soft bed made it easy to spend the whole day just relaxing in the room.
Our favorite spot was Mimi’s Rooftop, a colorful rooftop bar with amazing views of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya River. The evening atmosphere was especially nice — just sitting with a cold drink, enjoying the view, and taking it slow. The food was great too. For food lovers, Dusit Gourmet also offers plenty of choices, especially delicious Thai dishes.
Another nice touch was the complimentary shuttle tuk-tuk to River City, making it easy to explore art galleries, cafés, and restaurants nearby.
Overall, it’s a hotel that makes a short weekend getaway really easy. You can relax at the hotel all day or head out and explore the city whenever you feel like it.
This hotel punches well above its rating. It is listed as a 4-star, but the experience beats many 5-star hotels I have stayed in.
What impressed me most was the attention to the smallest details: the power socket in the room is a true universal one that accepts every plug type with no adapter needed, plus USB ports right at the bedside, and a lighting control panel by the headboard (curtain light, night light, bedroom, lamp) so you never have to get out of bed.
Rooms are clean and stylish, the city view is lovely, and the Samyan location is excellent and close to the metro.
Highly recommended. I will be staying here again on my next visit to Bangkok.

Perfect location. Exceptional concierge with Jack and team . Great having hotel car and tuk tuk available. Great pool and gym and rooftop bar. Would recommend .
