This hotel is situated about 3 km from the east of Legian Kuta, a pleasant distance from the hustle and bustle of the city. Those who still crave a buzzy atmosphere will find the city and tourist centre, with many shops and entertainment venues, only 800 m away. It is a similar distance to the beach. Constructed in Balinese style and surrounded by a large tropical garden, the hotel offers a welcoming foyer with reception desk, lift and a currency exchange counter. Culinary options include a bar and an à la carte restaurant. The tastefully fitted rooms are all air-conditioned and come with an en suite bathroom. The stylish accommodation units additionally feature a minibar/ fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. A hire safe and a balcony or terrace round up the offerings. In the well-maintained grounds, guests will find two swimming pools and a poolside snack bar.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I’ve really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel has a beautiful, relaxed Bali feel, the pool area is a great place to spend an afternoon, and it’s been a very comfortable base for exploring Seminyak, Legian and further afield.
What has particularly stood out, though, is the staff. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been warm and helpful, but I especially want to mention Panji and Bagas from housekeeping. They did an absolutely amazing job with my room today and went far beyond simply cleaning it and making the bed. They folded and organised my clothes, lined up all my shoes, made a gorgeous towel arrangement and left me a lovely handwritten note. Those little touches take time and effort, and they genuinely made me smile when I came back to my room.

I’ve had a great time in Bali and this has been a lovely place to come back to at the end of each day.

We are very pleased with our cleaners Wira and Dika. They clean our room everyday and its perfect. This little guy waited for us in the room and definetely made us smile! Also staff in the recepcion and restaurant are very nice, always smiling and go above and beyond. I can only recommend this place!
We stayed at Hotel Vila Lumbung. An awesome stay. We had Wira, Dika and Eka keep our room clean- amazing service. The food and pool was amazing. Very relaxed!
Lovely place with friendly staff. Old Balinese style architecture and grounds. Pool is great as well as the swim up bar that has a tv playing sports. Breakfast options are great, something different everyday and you can order (extra) barista style coffees which are Aussie standard! Beds are firm but comfortable with perfect pillows and blankets. We booked late so got a room near the main road which can get noisy so bring ear plugs if sensitive. Windows have gaps so you get the odd mozzi but the hotel provides items to help eradicate any. Close to some really great places such as: The iron Fairies (absolutely blown away with seeing this bar), The Forge (sports bar) tvs everywhere and incredible food. You can walk to the beachside but it’s quite easy to grab a scooter down. Great stay!
