- The Haven Bali Seminyak

This amazing complex is a pioneering lifestyle resort situated in the dynamic hub of Seminyak, 5 minutes’ walk to Double Six beach, walking distance to boutique stores and restaurants and 15 drive to the airport. The restaurant offering food that is both healthy and delicious, pan-Asian classics and elaborations on international favourites. Business visitors are able to host meetings and conferences since the property offers the perfect venues. The rooms are all wrapped in new modern minimalist architecture, have a comfortable interior and feature all the essential amenities. They welcome guests and make them have the best experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great stay at The Haven in a perfect central Seminyak location — close to restaurants, shops, and about a 10-minute walk to the beach (plus a handy shuttle to a beach club with free sunbeds). Being so central, it can be a little noisy at times, but nothing too disruptive.
Rooms are a little dated and short on storage, but always very clean thanks to excellent housekeeping.
Loved the buffet breakfast — big thanks to Desi and Ayu for their friendly, welcoming service each morning. The 24-hour restaurant was also a lifesaver when we arrived late and hungry!
Special mention to Sara for always greeting us by name and making us feel so welcome.
Overall, a fantastic stay made even better by the warm, friendly staff.
Love the staff, they're so kind ,thanks mas surya

The friendly and welcoming staff make the atmosphere and The Haven awesome .
Desi and Ayu (or as we called her Ah you!) in the restaurant were extremely welcoming and friendly.
However a huge shout out goes to Sara who went above and behond to Make us feel welcome in every aspect of The Haven. Always smiling and nothing was ever too much trouble.
Will definitely be back 😎
We stayed in the suite rooms which had a lounge/kitchen area which worked well with 2 kids in the evenings. Fridge was useful to store water and snacks from local supermarket (Bintang). Rooms either side of lounge with balconies were quite nice; TVs in all, beds average comfort, ac was excellent (clean and quiet). Bedrooms very clean except bathrooms were tired with old fittings that were stiff and corroded. Subsequent cleanliness in bathrooms was not as good as it could be (especially around rim of sink and floors). Be careful with children near to doors where ringmain circuit is only covered with a hook on picture frame style cover which if lifted exposes live high voltage electrics ⚡️ which the hotel will need to address with locks or screws as this is unsafe and could affect their safety rating in general which would be a shame. I also had one broken transformer in our room which was replaced promptly except they failed to remove the live transformer pin from the socket which had been broken and stuck in socket by a previous guest (most likely due to the fact the transformers protrude where chair slides under desk which then hits the transformers (bad planning).
Pool was excellent and included 4 options including one quiet 25m pool which was great for swimming and play. It was quite a cold pool though with not much sun in that area (24-25 deg C water).
Breakfast was ‘OK’ but nothing special. Eggs to order were very well made as were omelettes. Lots of choice in larger front restaurant, less choice in smaller Lemon Cello restaurant, but it stayed open longer (until 1100 instead of 1000 at front) which was helpful with sleepy teenagers. I did spot one young waiter clearing the unconsumed pastries back into a large storage tray with his bare hands at one point, which I’m sure were clean, but didn’t reach the 4 star standards that they claim. An easy one to fix with training.
Location of the Haven is excellent; near to everything you would need including many superb restaurants at great prices.
Hotel food was average, and more expensive in general than what you can find elsewhere. Supermarket, pharmacy, loads of shops and restaurants plus beach (including small transport to and from 1030 and 1630) are all right next to hotel or a short walk.
What makes this hotel is the people. They are all so very polite, helpful and courteous. From restaurant staff to housekeeping and reception; all so lovely and friendly. Balinese in general are very polite which makes for a lovely holiday experience of the local cultures and traditions.
A firm 4/5. A great hotel especially the lovely friendly staff (including Yasa at breakfast). The hotel could be amazing, but needs to address a few areas as described.
Hotel also closed one of the pools and restaurants without warning prior to booking but by leaving a note in our room to advise on avoiding the private party they’d used it for. This was quite strange for a hotel.
Overall the hotel provided an excellent and comfortable base from which to explore the island as a family. 👍🏼
