Ohhh my God, what a fantastic stay! I absolutely loved everything about Desa Potato Head from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. I was lucky enough to receive an upgrade from a Studio to a Garden Suite, and I was so happy! The suite was beautiful, aesthetic and stylish, with gorgeous decoration, a very spacious layout and a big, beautiful bathroom. I absolutely loved it! The breakfast by the pool was one of the highlights of our stay. The à la carte menu was delicious, and having breakfast in such a beautiful setting made it even more special. The spa was honestly one of the best experiences I've had in Bali. The therapists were so friendly, professional and welcoming. My sister and I enjoyed it so much that we went twice! The beach club is beautiful, and we especially loved the pool area and the views. We enjoyed watching the sunset there with drinks and delicious food — such a lovely atmosphere. And the staff were exceptional. From reception to the pool team and housekeeping, everyone was friendly, warm and professional. I especially loved being greeted with “Welcome home” every time we returned to the resort. Such a small gesture, but it made us feel so special and genuinely at home. Even the airport pickup was exceptional, with drinks and cookies waiting for us. Everything was so thoughtful and beautifully done. Desa Potato Head is not just a beautiful resort — it has an incredible atmosphere, wonderful people and so many little details that make the experience memorable. I very often leave a holiday feeling that there are always aspects that could have been better. However, Desa Potato Head is a rare exception. My most sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire team for the warmth, hospitality and exceptional service shown throughout our 13-night stay.
It is difficult to summarise such a memorable experience in a single review, but I will do my very best. From the moment we arrived until the moment we departed, we consistently experienced an extraordinary level of care, compassion and genuine friendliness from every member of staff we encountered.
I would, however, like to give special recognition to Bagus, Fendy, Arik, Sintya, Angga, Dewi, Triyana, Mink Noz and Hendy. Each of you provided an exceptional level of service and consistently went above and beyond in every interaction. What made this particularly special was the opportunity to get to know you personally and share moments of our lives throughout our stay. By the end of our visit, seeing you each day genuinely felt like visiting friends, and we looked forward to those interactions enormously. Thank you all sincerely for making our stay so memorable.
The architecture, music, food—particularly breakfast and the Indonesian restaurant—and the overall atmosphere are unlike anything we have experienced at a hotel anywhere in the world. We also particularly enjoyed the unique balance that Potato Head offers. Staying at the hotel allows you to move effortlessly between the beach club and the resort, depending on the mood of the day or evening, while still having the opportunity to retreat and relax within the hotel itself. This flexibility became one of our favourite aspects of the experience.
I also cannot write this review without making special mention of Fysh, who operates as Head of Experience at the hotel.
Fysh, from the moment we arrived, your warmth and genuine welcome immediately made us feel completely at ease. Being greeted each day upon our return with “welcome home”, accompanied by your wonderful sense of humour and top-tier banter, made us feel incredibly comfortable and, as Brits, genuinely at home.
We have rarely, if ever, experienced such a personal level of service. No request ever seemed too much, and it was the small, thoughtful touches throughout our stay that made us feel genuinely valued and special. Your ability to create such a personal connection with guests is truly remarkable.
To Potato Head Management and Ronald: Fysh is, quite simply, one of a kind. She is clearly an integral part of what makes the experience at Potato Head so special, and we sincerely hope you recognise and hold on to that talent. She does not simply help keep the magic alive—she makes it thrive.
I am sure it is clear from the above that this was, without question, a 10/10 experience. We will absolutely be returning. I think it is fair to say that we now consider ourselves part of the “Potato Head Family”, and we feel very fortunate to have found a place and a group of people with whom we have connected so genuinely.
We very much look forward to returning home in 2027.

Great place, amazing hospitality and good location!
Everything about this hotel from start to finish of my stay was perfect. Great food, great staff and the garden suite is a great room. I will definitely be back.
From the very beginning, we were delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful room. The location is perfect, especially since we’ve always loved their beach club. Staying at the hotel made everything so much easier and gave us the flexibility to enjoy the beach club whenever we wanted, which was a big plus.
Service was also really impressive. We did have a small issue with our room, but the team handled it within minutes and were incredibly attentive throughout. They even surprised us with some very generous complimentary gestures afterwards, which we really appreciated.
We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back again. Definitely one of those places where you leave already thinking about your next visit!
