This is now one of our favourite family holidays destinations at the Westin Resort. We were one of the families’ with children holiday plan got cancelled from the unfortunate Club Med Bali restaurant fire. Having little time looking for an alternative accommodation during peak holiday seasons, we were so glad we stayed at the Westin Resort. We had a wonderful 8 day 7 nights holidays.
We cannot fault anything during our 8 day holidays, starting from smooth checking in and we were so glad and lucky to have beautiful and spacious interconnecting rooms with a lounge.
Daily Buffett breakfast was amazing, with a huge selection of international food. Service and staff were top-notch. After a few days, staff knew which table we prefer and our preferred coffees.
We have also dined in Prego (one of the best Italian restaurants we’ve dined in), Ikan and Hanabe and the qualities are also top-notch. Initially we were a bit disappointed that the Westin doesn’t have the all inclusive option like some other resorts but this meant we can actually have different cuisines at different restaurants
There were load of activities for the kids, Foam pool party, Baby Sea turtle release, reptile zoos as well as a kids club (more suited for younger children). We also rode bikes most days to explore the local areas / other resorts.
The resort is perfectly situated in the beautiful pristine Nusa Dua beach and every few days we would jog along the beautiful promenade and watched sunrise. The beach is very children friendly as there are no rough waves.
Not having all inclusive options like the Club Med meant we were able to dine in different restaurants both inside and outside the resort and it actually worked out much cheaper (though we had to worry about what we should have for lunch or dinner - yes first world problems) .
All staff are absolutely wonderful and professional and friendly. They would go out of their way to help us with everything we need.
We loved every minute of our stay at the Westin Resort.
A Wonderful 10 Days Celebrating Our 25th Anniversary
We just returned from a fabulous 10 day stay at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua and it truly was a trip to remember, we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and the hotel made it feel genuinely special.
We travelled as a family of four (myself, my wife and our two adult children, 18 and 20) and stayed in a two bedroom suite. The room rate was very fair for the space, plenty big enough for all of us with a separate lounge area that gave everyone room to breathe. On arrival we were surprised with a lovely anniversary gift and one evening we came back to a thoughtful turndown service. Nice touches that didn't go unnoticed.
Thanks to Sander Looijen for a great offer that helped us book this trip. A huge thank you also to the hotel manager Marco and the Guest Experience team, particularly Yoni, who looked after us brilliantly throughout our stay.
We also have to mention the hotel doctor. Our daughter came down with a blocked ear and a cough and the doctor was at our room within 5 minutes, quick, professional and prescribed antibiotics at a very reasonable price (around £100 all in). Genuinely reassuring to have that level of care available so promptly while on holiday.
On the food side, we ate at every outlet except Indian. Japanese was a bit underwhelming if we're honest, but Prego and Ikan were our clear favourites, we ended up eating there most nights. Prego has an expat Italian chef and it really shows in the quality. Breakfast was excellent too, with a lot of locally sourced items, a great bakery selection and a genuinely good healthy section (even activated charcoal and psyllium husk powder for those who want it). One morning they kindly grilled me fresh fish to order, small gesture but it stuck with us.
We made good use of the facilities, the Heavenly Spa twice, the gym (both indoor and outdoor), the bikes and table tennis. The quiet pool was a real highlight, peaceful and relaxing, while the main pool had a livelier busier atmosphere. The beach was excellent too with a genuinely attentive team looking after guests.
There is renovation work ongoing but it was far less disruptive than we expected, barely noticeable most of the time.
One small hiccup, the air con in one of our rooms had an issue but an engineer came promptly and fixed the filter with no fuss.
One tip for future guests, hotel airport transfers are quite pricey, we'd recommend booking a 6 seater Grab instead for a fraction of the cost.
Staff throughout the resort were consistently warm, friendly and helpful, it's clear this is a team that genuinely cares. We'll absolutely be back. Thank you to everyone who made our anniversary trip so memorable.
Had dinner at Prego Italian. What an amazing restaurant. Wonderful food, big portions and unbelievable service. Will definitely go back
We (a family with a teenager) visited Prego Bali restaurant two times. The food was really very good. No difference to Italy and we believe us we have extensive experience with Italian cuisine. Even our teenager was happy with her food, especially with the desert. The restaurant manager and entire personnel was very attentive and did their best to create nice experience for us. We had amazing time at the Prego restaurant.
We stayed two nights and my kid enjoyed her time in the kid club. She went there every day and the staff are friendly and patient. Next time I go to Bali I will choose Westin again.
