Hi, We just returned from Grand Hyatt Bali. Stay dates: July 23-25. First off, check-in took 30 minutes and then when we got to the club lounge as we had paid extra points for the lounge, they told us that our room did not come with club lounge access. We then had to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to call the front desk. This was after sitting for 30 minutes to check in. Our plane got delayed so we needed to stay another night. When we checked in, I asked if we needed to stay another night would we be able to stay in the same room. Otherwise, we would’ve moved to a different hotel. Everyone at the world of Hyatt counter checked and said that they had rooms available and would do their best to keep us in the same room. Before I booked the room, I called down and everyone was very rude to us. They told us that we had to check out as they had zero rooms available and were at 100% occupancy. And then I went down to the lobby to talk to someone and again I was greeted with rude customer service from the world of Hyatt team. I told him that the hotel was not in 100% occupancy as I could book rooms on the app. They told me a manager was coming out, again. I waited for about 20 minutes and no one ever came out. So then, as I was leaving to go back up to my room to pack and move to another hotel as I was completely done with this one. Irma, the manager came to talk with me and said she would try to help me. She never apologized for the behavior of her staff after I repeatedly told her that they had been very rude to us the entire stay. She called me in the room and said we could stay in that room if we booked another night with Hyatt, our key did not work when we came back up. So we had to go all the way back downstairs and get another key. Fast-forward to three hours later, we came back from the pool and the key did not work again. So then again we had to go downstairs. Then as we were checking out, we had to call down three times to get our bags which took 25 minutes to get someone upstairs. We almost missed our flight due to negligence of the entire staff. The worst stay that we have ever had!!!!
Location suited our family as we wanted a relaxed holiday. Rooms were as advertised and very spacious. A good shower is important to me and it did not disappoint. Rooms were serviced daily offering plenty of fresh clean towels. Could not fault all services offered. Food and beverages were great and plentiful. Would definitely return!
Location is the best. A minute walk to Bali Collection where shops and restaurants are and also the best beach hands down. The rooms are a bit outdated but that did not bother me. The atmosphere is great, the landscaping is absolutely stunning. It is a very large and beautiful hotel. To escape the families with kids (we happened to be on an all adult friends trip) we rented beach cabanas that were less than $40/day so a great option. Restaurants are yummy! Breakfast was my favorite, a ton of options. Really great place, would highly recommend and come back. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
Our stay at the Hyatt was amazing, until check out came around. At check in we were told that we given a complimentary upgrade to ocean view but upon check out was told we had to pay, the check in staff changed the terms, which was their mistake, so why should we have to pay. In the end after some disagreements about the word complimentary upgrade, we were force to pay for the upgrade, which was very disappointing.
A wonderful resort with great food and good rooms. The only downside is there are quite a few families here with children who completely take over the pool. There is an adult only pool but it has limited seating. We did the luxury escapes package ( food and drinks included ) but it is actually cheaper booking direct with the hotel. We were advised not to come here in school holidays as it is overrun with children. Big shout out to Bridget in the Water court restaurant. She is fantastic.
