The Stones Legian Bali A Marriott Autograph Collection Hotel

It's a very good hotel - definitely 5* experience - and definitely better than expected. The junior suite room was very big, beds were comfortable and the hotel upgraded us to a junior suite with a pool and we really appreciate this. The breakfast buffet was a big hit with my kids and there's plenty on offer every morning. Staff is super attentive.

Amenities are great - bathroom is very well serviced with a good hairdryer, toothbrush, toiletries, and bottled water every day.

Location is between Kuta and Legian, so it's busy and maybe not as upmarket as Seminyak but I think that's why it's good value. Plenty of laundry, massage, and good beach restaurants around. There's a fantastic western-like shopping centre in walking distance.

We would have appreciated having our beds ready on arrival - even though we had a booking for 2 adults + 2 children - the room seemed to only accommodate 2 adults + 1 child. The sofa bed wasn't prepared, and we also had to request an additional bed on that night, at extra cost. These details really do matter when you arrive with kids, late at night.

Amazing hotel in a beautiful central location, close to fantastic restaurants, the Beachwalk mall and with easy beach access for those stunning Bali sunsets. My daughter and I shared a Deluxe Pool View room, which has a clean design, free mini bar restock each day and wonderful views over the pool from the balcony. The team at the hotel are phenomenal, with personal touches such as a welcome message and birthday message written on the mirror in the bathroom for me, daily friendly greetings at breakfast (how do you remember our names?!) and always presenting in a happy and welcoming manner. This was a great value room and a lovely place overall for us to spend our 10 nights in Bali.

Stayed at the stones for 14 nights usually stay at an older Balinese style resort so was excited to try this place, wanted to love it but just couldn’t. Massive lovely pool but not enough sunbeds that I’m sure people got up at 6am to reserve and not sit on until midday so could never get one. Waited well over 15 mins at the pool bar for a drink (a simple beer) along with many others that were complaining. People using their fingers at the buffet instead of tongs supplied in front of staff who said nothing. Every single morning my coffee order came incorrectly and the water for the tea in the teapot was like warm at best - not exaggerating.
The buildings in the driveway leading into the hotel are run down and could do with some love considering they are the first impression of the hotel. Rooms were nice and clean with good view of pool. Gym was good and well appointed. I personally think for the price point there could be improvements.
