Alam Kulkul Resort stands facing the famous Kuta Beach overlooking the shimmering blue Indian Ocean offering the perfect escape for travellers who are looking to get away from the bustle of daily life. For those who prefer to explore, Denpasar is a 30 minute drive away whilst shopping centres, art markets and other entertainment venues can be reached by a 10 minute leisurely stroll. Popular nightclub venues are 300 metres from the hotel and the lively centre of Kuta is just 1 km away. Bali international airport is a mere 15 minute drive from the hotel.Reflecting the charm and serene ambience of a Balinese Village, the thatched-roof villas are dotted throughout tropical gardens, colourful flora and cascading pools. The spacious guest rooms have been tastefully-decorated with Balinese influences with Indonesian antiques and local handicrafts and a modern touch. Hotel last renovated in 2020
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The boys and I really loved this little boutique hotel. The breakfast is special.
This lovely place offers great value and location. It’s “old Bali” style, which means not everything is perfect, but it is clean, beds comfortable, great hot water, fabulous breakfast and lovely staff. They have a brand new breakfast room and foyer, which gives a very boutique feel. We never had any problems getting a lounger round the pool and really enjoyed the complimentary yoga sessions a couple of times during our stay. A short walk to shopping and straight across from the beach, but a quiet sanctuary on the Kuta/Legian border. We spent a tiny bit more for a suite, which had an outdoor bathroom. Would stay again!
Great location just across from the beaches,the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable .Breafast is really good and fresh.As for price it's reasonable for a quiet space in Kuta.As for the staff they're amazing from Security to housekeeping all are really good the management should be proud of them.
I recently returned to Alam Kulkul Boutique Resort in Bali, and once again it exceeded every expectation. The resort is beautifully maintained and has such a calming, peaceful atmosphere that it instantly feels like a retreat from the busy streets outside. I stayed in the Alam Lanai room, located opposite the garden pool, and it was spacious, comfortable, and wonderfully serene.
The staff were outstanding — warm, attentive, and consistently going above and beyond to make the stay feel special. Breakfast each morning was plentiful with a great variety, and the overall standard of accommodation remains excellent.
As a repeat guest, I can confidently say this resort continues to deliver a memorable and relaxing experience. I have no hesitation recommending Alam Kulkul Boutique Resort to anyone visiting Bali. Booked for next June 2027 already!
We stayed at the Alum Kulkul for 10 days. There is not one negative about this resort. Beautiful gardens, very topical. We stayed in an Alum Lanai room. Large room, king bed, do comfortable. Great pillows. Huge bathroom. Great hot water shower. Free Wifi and Netlix. Breakfast buffet, absolutely everything you can think of and all on a rooftop area overlooking the ocean. Great location in between Kuta and Legian. So many restaurants, bars and shopping to easy walking. Opposite beach and beach bars. I would definitely stay again. Very quiet and 2 pools to choose from.
