- Hotel ZIA Bali

Nestled in the heart of Kuta, this welcoming hotel is an ideal spot from which to discover Bali. With its convenient location, the hotel offers easy access to the city's must-see destinations and all that the lively city has to offer. From there, guests can get on foot to a number of places of interest such as the Beachwalk, Matahari Kuta Department Store and Waterbom. In this hotel, the excellent service and superior facilities make for an unforgettable stay. To name but a few of the hotel's facilities, there it includes a comfortable restaurant offering delicious specialities, as well as a meeting room with a business centre for those travellers who are on a business trip and want to hold a successful meeting.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Disgusting, run-down and completely unacceptable 0/10
I am genuinely shocked at the condition of this hotel. We are staying here as part of a package holiday booked through Hays Travel, and I cannot understand how accommodation in this condition is being offered to customers.
Our room is extremely tired, worn and, most importantly, does not feel clean. The towels provided have brown stains all over them, there was hair on the bedding, the kettle is filthy and heavily marked, furniture is damaged and coming apart, surfaces are stained and worn, and the bathroom fittings are grimy and deteriorated. The whole room looks as though it is desperately overdue for refurbishment and a thorough deep clean.
Unfortunately, it isn’t just the room. The pool area is also extremely run-down and looks nothing like the photographs online. There are broken and badly worn chairs, broken tiles and areas that are dirty and poorly maintained. The reality of the hotel is very different from the impression given by the advertised photographs.
There is also construction work taking place opposite the hotel, resulting in constant banging and hammering. The soundproofing is extremely poor and we can hear everything from inside our room, making it very difficult to relax.
Unfortunately, the general atmosphere has made our stay even more uncomfortable. There have been groups of men congregating around our floor and corridors, smoking and talking loudly. Travelling with my young daughter, this has made me feel very uncomfortable walking to and from our room.
I appreciate that this is not a luxury hotel and I do not expect five-star facilities from budget accommodation. However, basic cleanliness, clean towels and bedding, maintained furniture, a safe and clean pool area and a room in a reasonable state of repair are not luxury expectations. Nor do I think guests should have to endure constant construction noise without being made aware of it beforehand.
The photographs speak for themselves. This is easily the worst accommodation we have stayed in during our trip around Bali and is certainly not somewhere I would ever choose to stay again or recommend to families.
We will also be raising the condition and standard of this accommodation directly with Hays Travel.
