This resort offers A LOT! But keeps taking things away 😩 Be warned, as of Jan, Artistas guests at Arte will no longer have full access to the original Xcaret Mexico side, which sucks, cuz it was awesome!! Only another example of how they keep trimming back privileges and looking to upsell.
My amiga and I stayed at Hotel Xcaret Arte as the guest of Miguel Quinana Pali, founder and General Director of Xcaret. Our goal was to see Feria Ixcaret de Arte Popular Mexicano and we had an amazing 5 days, including a 7-course dinner in the cenote with over 150 artisans who were showing their work at the Feria. Of special note among the staff, we would like to thank: (1) Luis Medina, Guest Service Manager, who assisted us with our dinner reservations; (2) Jesus, our driver to the airport, (3) Diana Ayala, Feria Coordinator -- great job Diana; (4) Josue Ramírez, who took care of our every need, and (5) Juan Diego from Hotel Mexico who accompanied us through the underground passages and through the kitchen since the hotel has no ramps yet and I was in a mobility cart. I had read about the great service from the waiters at Hotel Mexico, however, this was not something we experienced. In fact, two separate waiters almost totally ignored us the entire time we were there -- maybe they were both having a bad day.
I've visited many times before but this issue has finally gotten to me: their beds. They have the worst beds of any hotel I've stayed at. I returned home yesterday and my shoulder is in such pain after my stay that I can't sleep. I'll probably end up at a chiropractor. Every night in their beds I woke up in complete pain. I've slept better in a motel and my wife and I actually fight over who gets to sleep in the pull out sofa bed.
I can't believe a hotel that costs this much has the worst sleep experience on the planet.
