I can’t say enough good things about Unico. The rooms were excellent. The service was outstanding, and the food was phenomenal. I definitely hope to be back to Unico soon!

Welcome time and staff was great.Room service was very good, pools were awesome with the service , no good experience with the beach … food was in general good , awesome was the Italian one ….the French restaurant food was below expectations..,,

Best resort ever!!
We went here for our honeymoon and it was the most beautiful and peaceful resort! All the food was amazing and the service was awesome! Everyone was so kind to us! Especially Mario our host and Eugenio our server at the pool. They went above and beyond with doing special things for us for our honeymoon and it was truly a beautiful trip.

Great family vacation in Aug 2026
We came to UNICO 20°87° in late August 2026 for a family vacation 8 days and 7 nights with our two adult daughters and stayed in two rooms. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing experience.
The resort is much smaller than Hard Rock Riviera Maya, but the service was excellent. Our local host, Mario, was especially helpful and took care of arranging all of our dinner reservations and transportation, which made our stay very easy and enjoyable.
Our rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The swimming pools were also very nice and never felt overcrowded, which was a big plus for us. The resort has five different restaurants, although not all of them are open for dinner every night. Instead, the restaurants rotate their dinner schedules during the week.
Our favorite restaurants were The French and 20° 87° Grill. The lunch options at 20 87° were plentiful, and we also really enjoyed the room service, which was convenient and quite good.
Overall, UNICO was a great place for a relaxing family vacation. We enjoyed the beautiful setting, excellent service, good food, and laid-back atmosphere.
There were a few of downsides:
- Beach: The beach is relatively small, and the water was not as clear or attractive as some other Riviera Maya resorts we have visited.
- The French restaurant: On Friday night, at 8:30, several dishes were already unavailable, which was a little disappointing, especially since this was one of our favorite restaurants. But the waiter was nice and tried to find other options.
- Some classes were held in the main bar (dance lessons)and the open outdoors (cardio) which are not the best places to have these classes.
Despite these minor issues, we had a great stay.
