Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya

Another fabulous visit to the Grand Sirenis, our 5th one this time. We think this hotel and resort is amazing and that’s why we are members and have been for 10 years. As a member you do get phenomenal service, member privileges and a room upgrade that makes this holiday all the more special. The members beach club is fantastic and the service is brilliant. The hotel spa is outstanding and worthy of several visits to enjoy and relax in the most amazing surroundings. We, as members, attended all of the Al a carte restaurants and the food and presentation is on another level for a large hotel complex, some of the filet steaks we ate were fabulous. The Japanese teppanyaki chef Carlos is brilliant and the Carnal restaurant is fantastic with excellent food and great entertainment.

The sargassum was quite heavily present this time and it is disappointing to see, but at least we have seen in the past how beautiful the beach can be. The hotel tries so hard to respond to this natural and widespread issue but it is a mammoth task. I appreciate that the small section of beach at the members club is both easier to keep clean and prone to less build up due to the sea currents and the wind. Subsequently this wasn’t an issue for us.

The staff at the Sirenis are fantastic, they work hard, are polite & friendly and provide an excellent service throughout the hotel. In particular we would like to thank our lovely room maid Natalia Coba for keeping our gorgeous room in spectacular condition with her daily cleaning and for her glorious towel art that always made me smile. To the members beach club staff : Alex, Edgar & Macdonald for their daily welcome, smiles conversation and assistance. To Omar in the members restaurant for his lovely attitude & efficiency and to the wonderful Karen for serving our drinks daily again with a great smile and such a great personality. To Ricardo our daily breakfast waiter in the Mexican restaurant who was very attentive, kind and always made sure I was seated under the air conditioning, which was very welcome. Our personal concierge Juan was also fantastic, really nice guy and was very attentive and friendly but also relaxed which suited our needs perfectly.

There is nothing at this hotel that we could be critical of or that could be improved in our opinion. It’s constantly being upgraded in various areas and each year looks better & better. Highly recommend to anyone, we love it and always have a fabulous time here.

What a place. It’s a tropical paradise. The staff cannot do enough and work so very hard. The wildlife is incredible and the food and drinks are amazing. Special thank you to Saida who helped with all our GF requests and Ramon for being a spectacular waiter and funny guy xx
