My family loved this resort. We thought the food was excellent. We were able to experience 5 a la carte restaurants in 5 nights. They were incredibly varied and the staff took such great care of us. Even the buffets had good variety, were delicious and fresh, and had some incredible on-demand stations. The activities kept our family busy! The kids program was great for them to pop in and out of. The pools were beautiful and exciting. The beach was great and we snorkeled and saw a sea turtle and sting-rays! We LOVED the evening shows and experienced 4 of them! There's so much we didn't even get to experience. Our room was beautiful and we loved sitting on our balcony enjoying the view. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at this resort! The resort itself was beautiful, but what really made our experience special was the wonderful employees. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. You could truly see that they care about making their guests feel comfortable and appreciated. Special thanks to Laura Gomes from the gift shop and all the amazing employees of the buffet.
Good restaurants. Desserts are bad in the buffets.
Cons: Deserts and soft serve ice cream are made with all artificial ingredients and they taste terrible. It doesn’t make sense to produce so much product that is inedible and left on customer’s plates. I felt badly for all the kids eating the so called “ice cream” that tasted like chemicals.
But….. The actual food is very good. We enjoyed the real food.
Cons: The speakers in the pool area are so staticky that it creates an unpleasant sound and experience. It would be appreciated if there was entertainment during the day… live music or a band.
But….. The pools themselves are very nice.
Rooms were great, employees terrific in the Barcelo Maya Palace. The restaurants were great!
EXCELLENT HOTEL! WOULD DEFINTELY GO BACK SOME DAY GOD WILLING!
