Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I had high hopes for this resort, especially since this trip was meant to celebrate starting a new job. Unfortunately, it ended up being one of the most disappointing all-inclusive experiences I’ve had.
The resort itself is beautiful, and there are some hardworking staff members, but the overall guest experience fell well below what I expected from a Royalton property.
Service was inconsistent throughout our stay. We often felt overlooked while waiting for drinks and assistance around the pool, even when other guests were being served more promptly. It became frustrating enough that I found myself wondering what we needed to do just to receive the level of service that should be standard at a resort of this caliber.
The food was also inconsistent. While the Brazilian restaurant was enjoyable, the overall dining experience varied significantly from one meal to the next and did not meet the expectations I had based on the resort’s reputation.
What concerned me most, however, was witnessing what appeared to be unequal treatment of certain groups of guests. During our stay, I observed interactions that gave me the impression that some guests were treated differently based on who they were. Whether intentional or not, it created an uncomfortable atmosphere and left me questioning whether everyone was being treated with the same level of respect and hospitality. No guest should leave a vacation feeling that people are being treated differently because of their background or identity.
A vacation should be relaxing and welcoming. Instead, I left feeling disappointed by the inconsistent service and the overall experience. I hope management takes guest feedback seriously, reviews how service is delivered across the resort, and ensures that every guest is treated fairly, respectfully, and equally.
Unfortunately, I would not return or recommend this resort based on my experience.
Honestly the worst service ive experienced in Mexico. The staff seem absolutely miserable, no one feels friendly which is not Mexico. The hotel property is fine but there are so many better options for the money. It says renovated on the website but feels like dingy and worn.
Had a fantastic vacation at this resort. The waterpark is great for all ages. The concierge service that comes with the Diamond Club is worth it. Eliu and Eduardo were extremely helpful to our family with young children, making sure all our needs were met and in a timely manner as well. Eliu was also very helpful in helping us organize our dinners together. We basically had one point of contact for our stay and it made all the difference. Excellent service!!! The Zen restaurant also did a wonderful job helping us celebrate our parents 50th anniversary. I would definitely recommend this resort to families.
Everything at this hotel was incredible. The butlers, Pablo and Heriberto, were the best, as was the Diamond team at the pool and bar—excellent, especially Ignacio and Paola. We will be back soon.
Having a wonderful stay at the resort. Just wrapped up an incredible dinner at Zen Teppanyaki where our chef Arturo was fantastic. Highly recommend
