The strawberry coffee made by Claudio was really good. All the staff are accommodating.
I won’t be returning to this resort. Mexico is a great place to visit, but this experience was extremely disappointing.
To give credit where it’s due, our butler and many of the staff members were very kind. Unfortunately, the room conditions, billing issues, and management’s handling of our concerns overshadowed their hospitality.
Our room wasn’t clean, smelled unpleasant, and had a water leak. There were raccoons running around the property and what appeared to be mouse droppings on our balcony. I also paid for a room upgrade and was charged roughly double what others in our group paid for theirs.
We found $700 in tips we hadn’t authorized, plus charges for two bottles of alcohol we didn’t purchase. For our couples massage, the service was $280, and we tipped each therapist $50—a total of $100. However, we were charged $200 in tips.
When I raised these concerns, they weren’t resolved. I spent about 30 minutes going back and forth with managers during checkout. Then our ride wouldn’t leave until I paid another $150 for a key that had already been found. After the disputed charges, this made an already frustrating checkout even worse.
Both check-in and checkout were terrible experiences. I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but these issues deserve to be shared. The friendly staff were appreciated, but based on our experience, I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
Lovely service, Yuliana was truly amazing very helpful to me and family on this trip. The experience was one to remember she was awesome.
It was a great holiday for our family of four: 2 kids, ages 6 and 11. Stayed from Sep 19-27. The front desk was very helpful. We had a room with a double bed, but we quickly realized it wouldn't work for us because my son moves around while sleeping, so we went back to the front desk. We asked if they could move us to a different room with a king bed so we could put our son in the middle and my daughter could sleep on the sofa bed. They said they might have one, told us to come back in the morning and ask again, and that they would put a note on the request. We went back in the morning and were able to change our room. We have to get out of our room by 11am, and the new room won't be ready until 4pm. We are okay with it, since we will be staying in the pool all day anyway.
We went back to the front desk, and they gave us a new room. It was perfect for us. The only downside, and that is why I am not giving it 5 stars, is that our luggage did not come right away. We waited 2 hours and had to call them twice, and I was mad. We were wet and had no clothes to wear because our luggage was nowhere to be found. That's our only complaint. Overall, the place is perfect for families, and everyone is friendly.
We loved Angel, the bartender at the splash pool. He made our stay special as soon as he saw us; we didn't have to ask. He always brought drinks and let us try a variety, and he brought drinks for the kids as well all day. Other people would ask what we were drinking, and we would say we didn’t know. Lol. … We had to say no at the end of the day because he kept bringing us drinks, which we really appreciated. He was friendly and always smiling, not just to our family but to everyone. He really works hard, and we can see the difference. When he was off on Thursday, the person who replaced him never asked if we wanted a drink, so we knew we were being spoiled and had to get our own drinks, which we didn't mind at all.
We also go to the gym early in the morning for a quick workout, and the facility is really good, and the view up there is perfect. The staff are also nice and friendly.
My son had his birthday there, and our buffet server made it happen for everyone to sing for him; the same thing happened at Grazie, the Italian restaurant, where we had a reservation that night. Both servers did a great job, and my son felt so special on his 7th birthday.
We love the Zen teppanyaki and went there twice; the server recognized us the second time we came back. The smoke and Rio are also good. We will definitely come back.
