Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great resort with nice accommodations along with friendly and attentive staff. Marco & Idagar at Bar Cielo / Excellence club pool were awesome and took great care of us all trip. Would recommend the Excellence club if visiting. The tomahawk ribeye at Magna was very good.
We come back year after year mainly because of the people. When certain people get moved around, the vibe and the stay is not the same. Food choices this year were not good for lunch. You basically had 2 restaurants open so the choices were not many and felt like you were eating the same thing day after day. With a new GM, the vibe around the place is not the same as well. We did however, enjoy Fernando and he made sure everything was as good as it could be for us. We always enjoy seeing Jose-our bellman, Amable and Walton. They are like family.
This was our second visit and we loved it even more than last time. Fantastic location (only 20 mins from airport), people are so warm and friendly and simply can’t do enough to make sure you enjoy your visit. Food is exceptional in all the restaurants (and there are lots). Can’t wait to visit again.
The service and food at the excellence is off the charts! There was a storm while we stayed so the beach was not really in great condition but we thoroughly enjoyed the amenities during our stay.
My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Ecellence Riviera Maya From lux and kind airport pickup to our check out, we had only great experiences Despite going during "hurricane season", we had incredible weather, and even if there was some rain, the resort is incredibly prepared, transitioning activities to indoor areas, and with multiple covered bar and food options. Speaking of food, although we did not try chez isabelle or the buffet, we did not have a bad meal. Lunches around the resort are generally pretty casual and basic, but we found our breakfsast room service and at the lobster house to be outstanding. Our dinner options were all so tasty and high quality. Portions are large despite being all inclusive. We partiocularly enjoyed basmanti and Magna with the excellent club. Overall i recommend this resort highly, and do suggest an excellent club room for its uograded amenities. We will be back!
