Loved our vacation
My husband and I arrived at the viva on June 16th 2026. Flight-Great Airport- no issues Bus ride great...canned margaritas were the tastiest lime Margaritas on the whole trip. So I suggest you grab a couple. Check in- no problem went for food waiting for our room. Room- fantastic A/C worked and when coming back from the beach the whole building felt cool. Our room was 1328 if I remember correctly. Beds are lovely, comfortable and white sheet..I live for white sheets. Couldn't ask for better maids and we tipped accordingly. Room was very clean. If you like softer toilet paper I suggest you bring your own. And if you are close to running out you have to go to the front desk, and someone will bring it to your room. No big deal. Beach- very nice. White sand lots of chairs. At one point we had 5 for 2 people 2 for sunning 3 for shade. There are tonnes. And you can move them around to your liking.There was sargasum but it doesn't stop anyone from going into the water. No smell. The workers are always cleaning it up. Palm trees provide lots of shade. Bar- low quality tequila. You'd expect a better brand for making lime Margaritas..this is Mexico. Had a shot to taste..I called it fire water. Strong but no flavor. The Mango margarita is really good. I had a few dirty Martinis they were good too. I went to Mexico to drink and abundant of Lime Margaritas. No such luck. They were much better at the PuntaCana Princess last year. Husband like the Mojitos and Dark beer. Only the members which was only around 10people get the good stuff. Food- was plentiful. We went to 2 restaurants. Very nice. The commitment to service is very noticeable. Buffet food is great. Gets a little repetitive towards the end of your stay. But you will never be hungry. Breakfast had everything you would ever need. The beach buffet place is ok didn't like the hamburgers, French fries and hotdogs are good. Shows- they put on very energetic entertainment, professionally done. Even effects. Never went to the pool. Lots of things going on tho. Daily entertainment- stretching on the beach, soccer games other stuff. Was fun to watch. Smoking areas available Do not have to pay for the safes 25 dollars for environmental fee. Payed day before you leave. They have a very beautiful habitat for a few creatures. The grounds are cleaned and well taken care of. Check out smooth Thats it we had fun. We relaxed. We ate and gained some weight lol. Twas a good holiday. We will be back. As long as you change the brand of tequila 🙂
Amazing Experience
The Cosmopolitan Restaurant is amazing! The best food we have had since being here. Our servers Elio and Rafael were great, very kind and accommodating with our allergies. Would definitely recommend!

I am finishing up my review after my stay at Viva Maya. Our room was very small, not a big deal but most importantly it smelled musty as soon as you walked in. The bed smelled as well and there were many little mosquitoes in the room. I checked the mattress because it smelled, and the mattress had dark spots on it that looked like mold and looked like pee stains on the mattress. The mini fridge in our room was empty, which was surprising for an all-inclusive resort. Not even water was supplied in the room. The adult pool closed at 6 PM. Let’s talk about the food, only one buffet that they had. It was mediocre. No A/C in the buffet area. Had to eat uncomfortably in the hot air. The drinks had a bad taste to them and tasted like they had no alcohol whatsoever. I had about 3 drinks during my stay because of that. The food quality was not good at all. We had to buy food outside the resort to have a decent meal. They had a couple of restaurants that you were able to make a reservation for but out of five days stay you were only allowed to reserve 2 dinners. One pool, which had hot water. It was very loud at night and hard to sleep due to the noise. I honestly cannot wait until our stay was over. I was so disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I felt ripped off for the money I paid. Definitely should not be in the All-inclusive section.

Staff is incredibly friendly. My favorites were Manuel at the Check In/Out desk, Wilbur with the entertainment team, Arturo one of the bartenders and absolutely Hirim the sunrise Photographer!!!!! Resort and Rooms very clean. Pool is beautiful and clean. Spa is incredible and worth every single penny. Amazing experience and entire staff at spa is wonderful!!! It is a smaller resort so not a ton of options on activities but we were 2 adult couples who enjoyed the relaxation. The food….. I am a super picky eater…. The food was fine, not a huge amount of variety but with that said, it was very possible to find something to eat at every meal and what I had was good!!! No room service but there is food available 24 hours everyday. The nightly shows were good, not high budget but the participants were amazing. 100% recommend, if looking for smaller resort with a lower price point, relaxation and just a chilled good time
Good value for the dollar.
Overall good value for the dollar. But the buffet is mediocre at best. And the wifi is absolutely terrible in most of the resort. The sit down restaurants are great, but you have to reserve like a week before oftentimes, to get in. Beach is amazing, staff are pretty friendly. We will go back, but I really hope they get some better food in the buffet. And get some wi fi boosters.
