Isabel at the spa was great. Best one I’ve ever had!! Highly recommend!
It is a very wonderful experience to stay in a resort that cares so much about customer service , my room was spotless , food beyond amazing ! Service was like a 5 state hotel even thought is not 5 stars ,they treat you as a queen and king for a very very reasonable price , it has the best beach in Playa del Carmen (next to the jungle ) you spend time at times with monkeys in the resort , and animals that are taking care of there , they have an eco friendly environment . Do not hesitate and book your vacations at Sandos
Very good experience at the asana restaurant! Alan our waiter was the best !
Wonderful vacation experience! Traveled here with a large group of 19 people, including children. Delicious food, impeccably clean, very kind staff, fun pools, and a beautiful beachfront!
Lots for kids! They loved playing at both water parks and the beach. A highlight was the bike tour to the mayan ruins that are a 20 mins bike ride off the resort. The staff that went with us were so patient with our kids.
The spa was wonderful, had a great massage. Beautiful spot to relax with a sauna, steam room, and pool.
I'm including pictures of the drop off kid areas because I found it hard to find out information, we weren't sure of what to expect. Kids up to age 11 are allowed to stay for 2 hours at a time (up to 4 hours a day) in the Kids Club. They have a room for arts and crafts and a little movie theater and a small play ground outside which includes a small pool that was not filled with water at the time. I was glad because I didn't feel comfortable leaving my kids there to swim. But they have an activities schedule and the kids had fun there and were excited to go. The staff was kind and the building was locked. The check in/check out process was strict, I felt my kids were very safe there. Kids must wear socks here. We forgot a couple time and had to go back to the room for them. This is open from 10am-6pm. I did wish this was open later into the evening. But it was so nice to drop the kids off for a couple hours for some quiet on the beach in the afternoon. The Teen Zone is separate building close by to the Kids Club. Kids 10 and up are welcome, but they are open on a different schedule, 3pm-10pm. This does not look like the pictures I found online because they recently turned the old Teen Zone into a restaurant. Its just a small room with video games, and then a coupe other activities like pool and board games. Nevertheless, my kids were excited to go and they made friends there. This area is not locked, and the kids can come and go as they please. Hope this helps!
Areas the resort could improve on is the lengthy time of the check in process. They had several staff members at random desks around the lobby doing nothing, but then only 2 people checking in a huge line of people. Also, be prepared to WALK! The resort is very spread out, and the transportation trolley only come about every 20 mins. The definitely could use more vehicles to transport guests. It was unfortunate that they could not help me with making large group dinner reservations. You cannot make any reservations prior to arriving at the resort. and even then you have to make them through the app. One kind staff member at the guest services was able to get me one reservation for 16 people( we had 19), but that was the best he could do. Our group was split up for dinner every night at different restaurants.
Spent my Birthday week at Sandos Playacar. Excellent time had by all 11 of who went. Premium Club was worth the extra $$as it allowed us access to air conditioned bars prior to dinner reservations and a chance to cool down. The beach side service provided by Carlos was top notch. He always had a smile on his face while serving us drinks! Entertainment was great also. The best restaurant to us was the Mexican one where i had my BDay dinner. The only downfall was the broken pool and the occasional Sargassum deposit. Other than that we had a great time with wonderful memories and great service. PS Ask for the story about Maria from guest services. I would go back.
