Loved this hotel! First time in an all inclusive and the food was fantastic as was Nestor , our waiter. Would fully recommend this hotel, quieter than the sister hotels . Special praise for Bernie , who ran the entertainment. He was excellent!
me and my family stayed at RIU Playacar for just under 2 weeks and had a great time. The hotel was stunning and the RIU staff were very welcoming. We booked a standard double room which was very spacious and clean. The cleaners would come in everyday and clean the room. The only thing I noticed was that the drinks fridge was not refilled every 2 days as it stated. This left us without some drinks in the room some days. The pool was lovely and the beach was nice. Lots and lots of seaweed but I know that’s unavoidable. The all inclusive buffet was amazing. There was many choices of food and drinks. We all enjoyed the pool bar and the drinks they had to offer. I noticed around the pool bar there were hundreds of wasps flying around near the drinks ingredients which was a bit off putting. The staff didn’t seem bothered by this 🤣. We participated in some water sports which were great. Alexander from ScubaCaribe was so good. He helped us to pick the best trips and messaged my partner with updates throughout our transfer to and from the trips! The Coco Bongo staff were quite harassing, we understood that this was their job however it was quite difficult to relax at some points. Just be aware about this before staying here. Overall we would stay here again as the staff were lovely and the food was great!
Very nice stay you get to visit all the riu chain and margaritas are amazing worth it.
We had an amazing stay at RIU Playacar. Everything exceeded our expectations, the food was delicious and varied and all areas of the hotel were spotlessly clean.
The entertainment programme was excellent. The team all work so hard and must be recognised for this. Special mention goes to Bernie, whose Aqua Fit classes were a real highlight of our holiday and to Felix whose energy and enthusiasm helped make the entertainment experience even more memorable.
We would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.
Me and my family had a wonderful trip here this summer- it was nothing like we had experienced before! The room, atmosphere, and facilities were fabulous, although my favourite parts must have been the entertainment, food and drink. The entertainment went on all through the day and evening, I love how inclusive and friendly Felix and Isabela are, and Berny’s aqua aerobics was FANTASTIC. The food and drink was delicious, there was always an option for everyone. The bartenders were also really lovely, I am missing talking to Alexis every day. As a new 18 year old, I was scared the entertainment would be tailored to younger children and I would easily get bored. Lots of the activities are for all ages, and some even just for adults so alongside chilling by the pools, I never got bored. I also managed to meet a great group of new friends who were also on their family holidays. This meant on a Friday we could go to Rui tequila together where they would host the themed Rui parties. All in all, I would highly recommend this holiday and am so grateful my parents chose this hotel for us to stay at.
