Bucket List Trip
The overwater bungalows were perfection. We had an elite bungalow and the view was heaven. Fernando and Alberto were great! The food at Palafitos restaurant was exceptional but the buffet was disappointing. The taqueria was okay. The Italian restaurant Mio was good but not great. They will try to get you to sit through a presentation, but we didn’t want to spend our time that way, not even for “free” excursions or resort credit. It was very quiet at all times of day - certainly not a “party” atmosphere. There is a late night bar but 2 people were there when we visited. The value for the money was “worth it” for a bucket list trip close to the US. You will definitely get spoiled.

Palafitos Overwater Bungalows
Amazing experience! The service, the accommodations, the amenities, and the food. My husband and I had a wonderful time with the 1 1/2 day that we spent there. The room service is such a great perk. The things we enjoyed most about our stay: the taqueria, that is delicious!!! The Italian restaurant- also amazing, make sure to get the pannacotta dessert, you won’t regret it! The mini swimming pool located right in the bungalow, and overall the hospitality. Alberto was such a great help upon our arrival and departure. I love how easy going he was and how knowledgeable he was about things, each time he saw us around the resort, he made sure to say hello.
The Experience is in the Details!
Amazing experience! We stayed here for a week for our 10 year anniversary. The staff was incredible and really put a lot of attention to details that made this occasion truly special for us. In particular, William, Aldo, Alberto, Alejandro, and Javier took great care to make sure everything was perfect for us each day—we really didn’t have to worry about anything!
Some key highlights of our experience were the food and the excursions. The meals consisted of some of the most delicious, unique foods we have ever had! As for excursions, we went on a catamaran trip, took a boat to swim with whale sharks, explored the Rio Secreto cenotes, and saw the Mayan ruins in Tulum. All of these were unique moments for us and allowed us to make unforgettable memories. The on premises activities were also really fun! Angel, one of the entertainment associates, made things like trivia and pool volleyball a great time! The Mexican fiesta on the beach was fabulous, as well!
All in all, we can’t say enough good things about this place! Highly recommended!

The location and resort were amazing. Fernando, Daniel and Alberto took great care of us! We will definitely be returning.
