Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya is an adults-only beachfront resort located in the selcluded region of Riviera Maya, and surrounded by lush mangroves. The property has easy access to the Cancun International Airport and is only six miles from Playa del Carmen. This luxurious 291-suite resort breathes romance, resembling a modern hacienda, sitting along a stretch of pure white sand beach. During their stay, guests will enjoy the unlimited food and beverages selections at nine restaurants, bars and lounges, relax at the ocean-view pool, indulge with some pampering at the full-service Zen Spa and round the day out with nightly performances. Combining beautiful architecture with impeccable service and lavish accommodations, this all-inclusive resort is a vacation paradise like no other.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and well maintained. The beach was absolutely beautiful—clean, sandy, and without rocks, which we really enjoyed.
The biggest disappointment for us was the limited dining and entertainment options. Because we visited during a less busy time, the buffet was only open for breakfast. For lunch, we had to order from a menu, and for dinner, reservations were required. We only stayed for five nights, and by the end of our stay, we were already getting tired of the lunch options because the menu was fairly limited.
The other major downside was the lack of entertainment. There were no shows at all. One evening there was a saxophone player, another evening a pianist, and on our last night a violinist, but the entertainment only lasted about an hour. By 10 PM, the hotel was completely quiet with very little happening.
Overall, this is a beautiful, clean hotel with a gorgeous beach, and I would recommend it to someone looking for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. However, if you're looking for a lively resort with shows, nightlife, activities, and plenty of entertainment, I would probably choose a different hotel.
5-Star Experience at Hyatt Zilara!
We had an absolutely amazing stay at Hyatt Zilara. The staff truly made our experience unforgettable. Everyone at the resort was incredibly kind, welcoming, and warm, with such a genuine personality.
From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. The service, hospitality, and attention to detail were exceptional. The entire team went above and beyond to make our stay special.
Thank you to everyone at Hyatt Zilara for making our vacation such a memorable experience. We would definitely come back!
We had a great time. It was a quick 3 night, 4 day get-away. Just enough to unwind and recharge and this really was the place to do that.
This was my third time staying at Hyatt Zilara and I would absolutely stay here again. The service is outstanding, every single person I interacted with was wonderful. Julio at the pool/beach, Alicia at the front office, Gloria and Miguel (servers) everyone is just so kind and they all made me feel like I was home.
We had a wonderful stay! The atmosphere was relaxing, laid-back, and wonderfully low-key, with beautiful views and friendly, accommodating service. The beach was cleared of seaweed multiple times a day, and we truly appreciated the care taken to keep it enjoyable. A special thank-you to Oscar, Polo, Dulce, Angela at the spa, Guadalupe, and Melisaa from activities and entertainment for making our experience so memorable. Room service was excellent, and returning to a clean, refreshed room each day was such a pleasure. A few more restaurant choices and a wider variety of midday buffet options would make the dining experience even better. Overall, this was a lovely getaway, and I’m already looking forward to booking again!
