The Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina Hotel is located in Puerto Cancun, exclusive area at the beginning of the hotel zone, just ten minutes from down town and walking distance to the beach. This area is considered the new Cancun entertainment zone where you can find the Marina Town Center, the largest shopping center in cancun with 45,000 meters of surface which translates into more than 100 commercial and restaurants premises.The Marina and the golf course are the perfect option for the traveler looking for different experiences.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The atmosphere was quiet and nice at the same time. You have peace of mind and no one rushing you or bombarding you to sell anything. The rooms were really nice and you get clean towels everyday as well as the shower being cleaned each day and bed made. For the price it was worth it. Gilberto was very helpful to us when we needed information and direction to places for entertainment.
Everything about this hotel was excellent, from the location overlooking the marina, the rooms spacious and clean, breakfast tasty with great variety mixing mexican and international and the friendly staff. The conciege Carlos was very friendly, and handeled booking and curating our tours for us. He even took time to check in on us during our tours to make sure we got through and everything was going ok. To even answering my msgs wren we missed one of our tour buses and tried to get them to come back for us, to which he energetically up successfully resheduling our tour we missed with no added cost. These small gestures made our stay stress free. The front desk staff were helpful in dinning options as well as suggesting where to visit for shopping. They also assisted in finding where to convert to peso dollors. Waiters were always getting you with a smile and attentive to your needs. Top tier experience, with peaceful vibe, no noise. It's worth the visit, not to mention the mall attached is nice touch comes alive at evening time. You also have access to a beach club no added cost which was nice to know and rransport bank and forth every 2hrs.
I really enjoyed my stay at Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina. The hotel is located in Puerto Cancún, which feels like a self-contained, upscale area. It’s very secure, and I felt completely comfortable walking around, even outside the hotel.
One of the biggest perks is that the hotel is connected to Marina Town Center, an open-air shopping and entertainment area. There are plenty of international brands, including Sephora, Dior, H&M, Miniso and more, plus restaurants and an IMAX cinema. So if you feel like shopping, grabbing a coffee, watching a movie, or just walking around, you don’t really have to go far.
The hotel itself is clean and modern, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. There’s also an outdoor pool and 24-hour room service, which is especially convenient if you have a late-night craving.
Now for the few things I wasn’t sure about...
The shower water wasn’t quite hot enough for my liking. It was warm, but I definitely would have preferred a hotter shower.
And then there was the bathroom artwork.
When I first walked into the room, I honestly got a little freaked out because there was a painting/shadow on the bathroom wall that looked like a man holding a surfboard. During the day it was just quirky artwork, but at night, with the lights and shadows, it looked way too much like a random man standing in my bathroom. Definitely not what I wanted to see when walking into the bathroom half-asleep!
Aside from those two things, I had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent if you want shopping, restaurants and entertainment.
Renaissance Cancun resort and marina. Great atmosphere. Rooms were clean in great condition. Value is okay especially because staff is professional in answering phones and being polite, respectful, quick to assist especially Gilberto / Nelson - Botonco Service.
I would add more photos of the renaissance but we are in the photos, sorry! The hotel itself is very nice and gated with security and a mall is connected through a hallway from the hotel.
This was my first time traveling outside of the country and actually staying in another country, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My friend and I had such a memorable, enjoyable, and amazing time at the Renaissance Cancun Resort & Marina. It’s really hard to say goodbye!
From the moment our shuttle arrived at the hotel from the airport, I felt like I was receiving the presidential treatment. The level of service was unlike anything I had ever experienced before. We were immediately greeted by Moses, who took great care of us and our luggage and directed us to reception to get checked into our rooms.
And the rooms? Absolutely immaculate! Everything was extremely clean, organized, comfortable, and luxurious. It was the perfect way to start our stay in Cancún.
After enjoying breakfast downstairs, we decided to head out and explore the city. That’s when we met Nelson, who quickly became one of our favorite people at the hotel. He was extremely helpful and gave us recommendations for local adventures, great places to visit, and restaurants where we could dine. He also helped us with the complimentary bicycles available to hotel guests so we could ride around and explore the area.
Throughout our five-day stay, we received amazing service from the entire hotel staff. Everyone made us feel welcomed and taken care of. However, there were three people who consistently went above and beyond for us: Moses, Nelson, and Gilberto. Thank you all so much for making our experience extra special. Your kindness, hospitality, and excellent service will definitely be remembered!
The only thing I didn’t like about this trip was how quickly the time went by. Five days felt way too short! This was an incredible first international experience, and Cancún gave me memories that I will carry with me for a lifetime.
We are already hoping to return in November, and I would absolutely stay here again.
