We spent 10 days at this hotel, staying in the Reserve section, and had a fantastic experience. The property is currently undergoing renovations, but the work is nearly complete and the improvements look great. It has a modern, refreshed feel, and none of the work impacted our stay, so don’t let that put you off.
The staff were outstanding, friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Nothing was ever too much trouble. If you’re interested in excursions, there are plenty of knowledgeable people on-site who can provide information and arrange bookings. We chose to relax this time, having visited another part of Mexico previously, but the options are definitely there.
The food was excellent. We tried both the buffet and the à la carte restaurants, with the Japanese and Italian being our favourites. There’s plenty of choice, and all drinks are premium brands. The cocktails were especially good.
The spa is lovely, offering a wide range of treatments, and there are always deals available if you ask. The gym is spacious and well-equipped with everything you need for a proper workout.
It was still seaweed season during our stay, but the team were out early every morning clearing it, and by mid‑morning the beach was clean. I had been worried about it beforehand, but it wasn’t an issue at all. The beach itself is spotless no rubbish or plastics and they’re strict about what guests can bring onto it, which clearly works. It’s one of the cleanest beaches I’ve seen in a long time.
Despite the weather forecast predicting rain every day, we barely saw any. At most, there were a few showers overnight, so don’t let the forecast worry you!

The room was very nice, clean and a beautiful ocean view. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Most of them spoke English too.
David served us in the KOA restaurant, his service was amazing, he explained the menu really well. Recommended some amazing dishes. Highly recommended and thank you so much David
