Memorable birthday celebration for daughter
We recently stayed at Occidental Tucancún for 5 nights and 6 days to celebrate our daughter’s 6th birthday, and overall we had a wonderful experience that created memories we’ll cherish forever.
The only downside was that the check-in process took quite a while. However, once we were settled in, my husband spoke to jose at the front desk and he decorated the room with balloons and everything else staying there made up for it. The food was good, and the customer service throughout the resort was excellent. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help make our stay comfortable.
A special thank you goes to Momento Photo Studio. Yamir did an outstanding job capturing beautiful family photos, and Gussippe gave us a wonderful deal on our daughter’s photo package. We couldn’t be happier with the memories we brought home.
Our biggest shout-out goes to Jimena, who truly went above and beyond to make our daughter’s birthday unforgettable. She arranged for a birthday cake and made our dinner at the Italian restaurant extra special. When the staff came to our table to sing “Happy Birthday,” seeing the smile on our daughter’s face meant everything to us. We also want to thank Enrique for helping make the celebration so memorable. Their kindness and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for.
We also loved the nightly entertainment. The performers at the theater put on amazing shows every evening, and our family looked forward to them each night. They added so much fun to our vacation and made our daughter’s birthday celebration even more special.
Thank you to everyone at Occidental Tucancún who made our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We left with wonderful memories and truly appreciated all the effort that went into making our daughter’s birthday such a special experience. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this resort to other families!

Great experience with Stevan, Magna and Esteban Gutierrez at El Mirador restaurant at Occidental tu Cancun
I’m really impressed with the staff service at El Mirador buffet restaurant they were all so nice and helpful, but specially from Santiago Magaña and Estevan Gutierrez, they were extremely helpful, friendly, patient with all our food requests - they really went far and beyond their duty as waiters they treated us like royalty!! I would definitely recommend going to that restaurant and ask for these two waiters. They are simply awesome The best you could ever ask for.!!

The beach was great and public transport (city buses) were easily accessible. The food options were great and the staff was 5 star. I recommend getting a room with an ocean view. I traveled with my son and wife but would recommend this place for single people, couples and families. I'll be back!😎
Overall it was pleasant stay just have to get through check in.
When we arrive it was very unpleasant, not a good impression at all. We were tired from our trip and the front lady was more interesting on getting her points on getting us to be part of a presentation. We had a premium room but the shower was so small the door couldn't close. The side door to look outside did not closed all the way. The only thing about it was the room service. The server Fernando and Eric were excellent. The best part of this visit was seeing Victor and Noelia at the pool. They were alot fun and full of energy. They brought people together to have a wonderful time together. The nightshows we're awesome. The bartenders Omar and Yvonne took care of our needs.

From the moment we walked into the lobby, we were welcomed with genuine enthusiasm and kindness. Check-in was quick, smooth, and hassle-free. We were even surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our vacation even more special.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and consistently stocked with fresh towels, snacks, and everything we needed. The air conditioning worked perfectly, which was especially appreciated in the Cancun heat.
There was always something fun happening around the resort, with activities and entertainment for guests of all ages. The food exceeded our expectations, offering a wide variety of delicious options that changed every day, so there was always something new to enjoy.
The staff truly made this vacation unforgettable. Every team member treated us like family and was consistently friendly, respectful, and welcoming, always greeting us with a smile.
The beach is on the smaller side, but it is beautiful, well maintained, and very clean. The pool was always lively, with guests enjoying themselves and creating a fun atmosphere. We also loved the evening vendors and the opportunity to book excursions to explore the town and nearby attractions.
We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!
