The Mediterranean style beachfront hotel Barceló Costa Cancún enjoys a fantastic setting directly on the beautiful Playa Linda beach, with views to the eternal blue of the Caribbean Sea. It features 4 restaurants, a lovely pool landscape, a fitness centre and a spa area. Golf courses, shopping centres and nightlife are within easy reach; Cancún International Airport is within a 20 minutes drive.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We booked this hotel for one night because we wanted somewhere convenient for the airport. For the price, it did the job, and the staff were the best part of our stay. The woman at the front desk was kind and patient, and she took time to explain everything at check-in.
Our room had a comfortable king-size bed, a wraparound balcony, and a decent view. The toilet kept running, but housekeeping and maintenance came quickly when we reported it.
The resort felt smaller than others we’ve stayed at. The beach was okay, but it was small and didn’t feel secluded, with people passing through nearby. We also noticed what seemed like fuel pollution from the nearby harbour, so it wasn’t the beach experience we’d hoped for. The drinks were fine, while the food was mixed; some dishes seemed undercooked.
Nothing about the stay was extraordinary, but the service was good and the price was reasonable. For a short stay near the airport, we felt it was worth what we paid.
Wonderful time and time was well spent with family
I had a great time here, the resort is well maintained and all of the staff is super friendly. We had great waiters for every meal and the food at the restaurants and buffet was delicious! The resort has plenty of activities every day and night. Jessica, Amairany, and Alexa on the entertainment staff were friendly and warm, they made us bracelets while we played Uno with other guests! Overall it was a fun experience!

Accomidatiin - Room was large and spacious.
Staff- Staff was friendly and accomodating to any question.
Food - Most of the food was good in Albatross. Good balance of local and international cuisine. Loved the fruit and salad bar, and balanced food options.
Food in Italian restaurant wasnt very good. Was bland,pasta was rubbery. Steak was passable. Notable the Italian dessert was well done.
24h snack bar- Loveeedd the snack bar feature. The availability of substantial food outside of restaurant hours . This feature was very accommodating for anyone with early check out out returning late. It provided a safe option for patrons so theyre not forced to venture out in a foreign city late at night or returning from tours. The snack bar options were very good for small meals.
Restocked mini bar, especially for water was a wonderful feature. Essential in such a hot country.
Grounds were very clean and well kept. Housekeeping - good Overall great for a family trip in an all inclusive space.
Everything was enjoyed except for the Italian and seafood restaurant. The hotel staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean and the room was great. You even helped me celebrate my wife’s birthday. This was our 6 year anniversary trip. I would definitely stay here again. The only this is the Mexican restaurant was closed the whole time we were there.
