The magnificent complex is located in the heart of Cancun's hotel zone. The rooms enjoy views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea, or the Nichupté Lagoon. The lively tourist centre with its many shopping venues, restaurants and bars are to be found just a few minutes' drive away. Cancún International Airport is 16 km from the establishment.

I am writing this to share our heart out and say Huge Thank you to Marriott Cancun Team!
Our experience at the Marriott Cancun was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we felt something very special — not simply like guests checking into a resort, but like a family that was genuinely welcomed, recognized, and cared for.
A very special and heartfelt thanks to Daniela, she went far beyond what we could have ever expected. What touched us the most was that she made a point of being present when we arrived, together with the Amazing Chef Alberto and other members of the team, so they could personally meet us, become familiar with our faces, understand our needs, and make sure we were taken care of from the very beginning. That level of thoughtfulness and preparation truly meant so much to us.
Her warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and genuine care were evident throughout our entire stay. She didn't simply provide hospitality — she made sure our entire team created a feeling of comfort and belonging. Knowing that someone was paying such close attention to our family's experience gave us an incredible sense of comfort and allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our vacation.
The entire Marriott team deserves the highest praise. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, impeccably maintained, clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The beach was gorgeous, the activities were wonderful, and there was always something enjoyable to experience. Every corner of the resort reflected a level of care and attention to detail that made our stay feel truly special.
And then there was the food and restaurant service — absolutely phenomenal and delicious! Chef Alberto and Manager Angel Villasmil were truly gem! Because of our dietary restrictions, dining while traveling can sometimes require extra planning and can be stressful. But they completely changed that experience for us. They treated our dietary needs with such seriousness, patience, and compassion. They personally took the time to understand what we could and could not have, discussed options with us, and made sure we had wonderful meals to choose from at any given time of the day!
We were especially impressed by how well-informed and coordinated everyone was. We never had to repeatedly explain ourselves or worry about whether our needs had been communicated.
That level of personalized attention is something we will NEVER forget.
There were so many little moments throughout our stay where we found ourselves saying, “Wow, they really care.” That is what separates a good resort from an exceptional one.
The all-inclusive experience was truly outstanding — from the incredible food and beautiful beach to the activities, cleanliness, hospitality, and attention to every detail. But more than anything, it was the people who made this vacation unforgettable.
Once again, Daniela, The Chefs and the entire team created an environment where we felt seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Their hospitality was personal, sincere, and filled with warmth. It never felt like they were simply doing your jobs; it felt like you truly wanted our family to have the best possible experience.
Our son was also treated with so much kindness and affection by you all. The entire team made him feel so welcomed and special. He is so impressed with all and Cancun — that he told us he would want to come back during every vacation :)
Leaving the resort was genuinely bittersweet because we knew we were leaving behind people who had made us feel so welcome and cared for.
To Daniela, the chefs, head chefs, restaurant managers, servers, activities team, housekeeping staff, and every single member of the Marriott family — *thank you from the bottom of our hearts for an unforgettable experience. You made us feel at home while we were far from home, and that is something we will never forget. ❤️
Five stars do not feel like enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my third year going to Marriott Cancun for Labor Day and I have left a good review every year.
The Good: This is the only all-inclusive resort I've been to where the food is great and not just some greasy/starchy mess. In most all-inclusive places, all the food is made in one giant kitchen and carted to the different "restaurants" -- at Marriott, they really are separate restaurants (although they sometimes share a common bar and the two Japanese restaurants share some other common facilities)
The kid's club and the staff are excellent every year. Gabby and Ismail took great care of my autistic child every year that we've come. I actually feel sorry the the families that have toddlers because their kids are too young to go to the kids' club and they're missing out. Although I didn't take advantage of the extra-fee activities, the prices were lower than last year. We also participated in the Pickelball tournament and the recreation organizer, Andy, was also really great.
The facilities are not just clean -- they are impressively clean and well maintained. The beach often has baby sea turtles washing up during Labor Day season. The government-run archeological museum (not a great museum) and Aquaworld are within a reasonable walking distance. Concierge desk is helpful and helped me prepare for a late-night arrival and helped me by printing documents for me (in Mexico, it's still more convenient to have printed documents at some places such as CBX).
The not-so-great: Not all the restaurants are open during Fridays -- even though the resort starts getting busy on Fridays, some restaurants (in my case Hana) were not open on Friday. I've never been to the Mediterranean restaurant, Delphinus. in three trips because it's open Sunday-Monday-Wednesday. Controlling costs means some sacrifices, but at least have everything running Friday and Saturday.
The regular rooms have bathrooms designed for sharing (i.e. toilet and sink in separate areas so one person can brush teeth while the other uses the potty), whereas the suites are not as well designed for one person-at-time . If you're coming with more than two people, you're probably better off staying in regular rooms rather than getting a suite.
The waterslide still has a scorching hot walkway that you have to run across to avoid burning your feet. Most US waterparks have a fake grass-type material that they cover the hot walkways. At a minimum, they could maybe periodically pour a bucket of water down the painfully scorching stairs on sunny days.
Beautiful place to stay, had a great time all the staff from the Bell boy front desk lobby bar restaurants 5 star service, they celebrated our birthday. The Pool attendant , excellent. The girl at the lobby bar celebrated our birthday with a nice gift we were not expecting thanks a million. Gabriela Hernández made our stay pleasant at the pool it was the best
The staff was incredibly attentive throughout our entire stay, and the property was spotless inside and out. Small details matter, so having great water pressure in the shower was a huge plus.
The bartending staff made the trip truly memorable:
Adults Pool Bar: Giovanni was exceptionally fast and precise with every drink. Lobby Bar: Luis, Enrique, and Lorenzo created such a warm, welcoming environment. All three were engaging, highly knowledgeable about their liquor selection, and mixed expert cocktails.
Based on this experience alone, we will definitely be coming back!
