Krystal Grand Cancun

The experience was absolutely amazing. I loved every second and already want another one! So friendly very professional and all around a great experience.

We went to Krystal Grand at the beginning of September for a week. We were aware it was slow season and wasn’t sure what to expect. Overall the resort was good and fairly clean. When we arrived, we decided to upgrade to the Altitude club to get a better room with better AC, as the room we had in the older tower wasn’t great and was very hot. The Altitude tower is newer and rooms are definitely nicer. Our room was nice and clean. The Altitude club came with access to the infinity pool, which is where we spent most of our time. To my knowledge there was no special beach chairs for Altitude, at least not that we were told about. The disappointing thing was that the infinity pool with Altitude had very poor (sometimes non existent) beverage service. A couple of our days there we did not have any service at all. A few of the other days we had Tanya as a server. Tanya was great and quick but sometimes would disappear, I assume due to being pulled in other places. With paying more money for Altitude, we expected better drink and food service. Often times we had to go and get our own food and drinks, which was fine but a little disappointing for the extra money we paid. Most times there was also non Altitude members at the infinity pool, and sometimes children (it was supposed to be adults only). The beach was beautiful but we didn’t spend much time there as it was very hot while we were there, but drink service seemed more reliable there as well as at the main pool. The main buffet was okay, but service was almost non existent there too. Multiple days for lunch and dinner we received no service whatsoever. The Altitude buffet was excellent service from Jose Louis and Miguel. Much better experiences there. Both buffets however did not have a big selection, not sure if this was due to slow season or not. The al la carte restaurants were all quite good and service there was much better than the main buffet. Caesar, our server at Ayami, was absolutely lovely and very friendly. The meal there was very good. Caesar went out of his way to find us some very tasty ice cream. We had a great night due to his service. Italian was good but the steak was meh. We did not try The Grill as the menu was not appealing to us personally. The best restaurant was hands down Le Delice, the Altitude member French Al La carte. We went there twice because it was so delicious. It was about a 1.5 hour experience with many surprise courses. What mainly stood out at Le Delice was the service. Guillermo, Josue, and Eduardo were very attentive and so friendly. Guillermo however, stood out extra to us. After receiving bad service at the buffet, we happened to see him there one night. He said he was working there because the French restaurant did not have any reservations, which was lucky for us because he served us at the buffet even though he did not have to. That was the best buffet service we received the entire trip. For our last night, we decided to go back to the French restaurant of course for the amazing food, but mostly for Guillermo’s exceptional service. He even got us a cake that said “have a good trip” as he remembered it was our last night. Overall it was a very nice vacation for the price we paid during slow season, the drinks were good, the pools were nice, and the place was clean. Marianna, the altitude concierge, was also very helpful and very kind. We appreciated her patience with our bookings and questions. Huge thank you to the staff who went above and beyond during our trip!

The food was very good and the staff are very nice and friendly. Would 100% recommend !!
