- Hyatt Ziva Cancun

All-inclusive luxury has been redefined with an incredible resort in the most coveted location of Cancun. Inspired by the beauty and culture of the destination, a naturally elegant and airy ambiance blends contemporary décor with Mayan influences. Swim-up suites, authentic cuisine and sprawling infinity pools are just a few of the many delights awaiting guests at the oceanfront Hyatt Ziva Cancun.
Ideally situated in Cancun's most desirable location, Hyatt Ziva Cancun stands on the edge of a picturesque peninsula, the only resort in the region surrounded on three sides by the sparkling Caribbean Sea. The beachfront resort is adjacent to the city's vibrant entertainment district and just 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport.
Good location, we went towards the end of spring break and it was still very busy - at 10am we found the last chairs around the pool. With it so busy, the buffets were on the loud side. My daughter enjoyed the kids club, and adults enjoyed the adults-only pool. Nice hotel grounds, it makes a great first impression.
Main restaurant concept does not exist, so the food in de buffet restaurant is unsatisfactory, actually not so good. You have to wait for the breakfast almost 15 minutes which is in general not acceptable if your paying for it. You miss also the service. And the hotel is very old.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hyatt Ziva, and what truly made our holiday so memorable was the incredible team. The resort is beautiful, but it is the people who make the experience exceptional.
⭐ Pablo – Hotel Manager & His Amazing Management Team
A very special mention must go to Pablo, the Hotel Manager, and his outstanding management team.
Pablo is an exceptional leader. His professionalism, warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care for his guests are evident throughout the resort. It is clear that he takes great pride in both the guest experience and the team he leads.
The standard of service throughout Hyatt Ziva is a true reflection of Pablo’s leadership. He has created a culture where staff are welcoming, attentive, professional, and genuinely happy to go the extra mile.
Pablo and his management team deserve enormous credit for creating such a positive atmosphere. Hyatt Ziva is extremely fortunate to have such strong and caring leadership.
⭐ Arturo Gonzalez – Executive Chef
A very special thank you to Arturo Gonzalez, the Executive Chef.
Arturo is clearly passionate about his role and takes great pride in the dining experience at Hyatt Ziva. His dedication, professionalism, and attention to quality really stood out to us.
It is obvious that maintaining such a high standard across a large resort takes an enormous amount of hard work and leadership, and Arturo deserves tremendous credit for what he and his culinary team deliver.
His passion and commitment are evident, and he is a real asset to Hyatt Ziva.
⭐ Roberto Bravo
Roberto Bravo deserves a very special mention as well. His service, warmth, and genuine care for guests were exceptional.
Roberto consistently made us feel welcome and valued. He was attentive without being intrusive, professional while still being incredibly personable, and always willing to help.
Roberto is exactly the type of person who makes a holiday memorable, and Hyatt Ziva is very lucky to have him.
⭐ Sofia & Dinora
Sofia and Dinora were absolutely wonderful and deserve special recognition.
Both ladies consistently provided such warm, friendly, and attentive service. They made us feel genuinely welcomed and always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay.
Their kindness, professionalism, and beautiful personalities really stood out to us. Sofia and Dinora are fantastic ambassadors for Hyatt Ziva, and their hard work should absolutely be recognized.
⭐ Oliver Buning
We would also like to give Oliver Buning a very special thank you.
Oliver went above and beyond throughout our stay. His professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail were outstanding, and he always made us feel genuinely looked after.
Oliver is a real credit to Hyatt Ziva and someone who clearly takes pride in providing an excellent guest experience.
⭐ Santiago
A brief but sincere thank you to Santiago for assisting us with our food requirements. We really appreciated his help, understanding, and willingness to assist.
We would also like to recognize Alejandro Verduzco at Tres Ceviches for her friendly service, as well as Abel Morales, Leila Gurin, Paulina Balam, Lizeth Barajas, and Daniela from Concierge for making our stay so enjoyable.
A special thank you to Kevin, our morning buffet server, for starting our mornings with such friendly and attentive service.
Thank you to Alejandro Cespedes and Carlos Hernandez, the Cabana Managers, who took such great care of us at Cabana #4 on the other side.
Thank you also to Eduardo in the gym for his kindness and excellent service.
The coffee team — Alan, Jesus, Adriana, and the entire coffee team — were fantastic and always greeted us with smiles.
And thank you to Eric Bourguss and Benjamin Gomez from the bell team for being so helpful and welcoming.
Thank You, Hyatt Ziva
There are so many wonderful people at Hyatt Ziva, and we truly appreciate every one of them. However, we would especially like to recognize Pablo and his management team, Arturo Gonzalez, Roberto Bravo, Sofia, Dinora, Oliver Buning, and Abel Morales for making such a strong impression on us.
A beautiful resort is one thing, but an exceptional team is what creates an unforgettable holiday.
Pablo should be incredibly proud of the team he leads, and Arturo should be equally proud of the culinary team and dining experience he helps deliver.
Thank you all for your hard work, kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. We felt truly welcomed, cared for, and valued throughout our stay.
Hyatt Ziva has an incredible team, and we cannot wait to return!
We have visited this resort a few times before. The last time was three years ago and we loved it! I was disappointed that during our visit this time around, the rooms were dated and while generally pleasant, many staff members at restaurants were not as attentive as we expected . For example, we had to wait over ten minutes several times to get water at the buffet. We also witnessed a frustrated server at Tradewinds yell at a couple for wanting to move their table. That was unprofessional and inappropriate. Additionally, upon checking in, in a very slick manner, Hyatt somehow allows the so-called VIP Concierge (those inviting you to a breakfast to try to sell you hotel memberships) to take over and “greet” you. This process is very misleading and unethical. They make it seem as if they directly work for Hyatt Ziva and are offering services linked to your current stay, which they are not.
The location is amazing, you are a short walk away from shopping, the pier to Isla Mujeres, clubs and other outside restaurants/bars. The food throughout the resort is amazing with plenty of options but the dinner wait time can vary depending on what time and how many people. The overall atmosphere is great. It’s clean, it’s well put together, and has a great vibe for families - definitely not a party resort. Rooms were spacious, we had 2 connecting rooms and was plenty for 6 of us. However, you do have to pay a $60 fee per night for the connecting rooms, so that was a downside. We spent a ton of time at the pool, we did purchase the cabana experience on multiple days and that was well worth it. The beach was also beautiful and clean. Overall, 10/10 would highly recommend for families.
