It’s been nice relaxing week at Caribe adult resort, disappointed with food though, only 1 special restaurant open each day, and quality of food seems to have gone downhill since last year. Service has been wonderful with Ross, Israel, Marcos and many more. Seaweed is bad right now so can’t use beach, but that’s just the season. Shows are great, repeated from last year with some new twists, aerial acrobat is so talented. We’ll skip a few years and probably try again maybe different month and hope food quality and options improve. They still need to make better step identifiers for visually impaired and handrails at all pools!!’
Fabulous relaxing vacation! It’s a slower season which means fewer people but the staff was excellent and the food was delicious. Our morning waiter Alfredo Jimenez was terrific and remembered the food and drinks we enjoy each morning. Highly recommend him!
We recently stayed at Royal Solaris Cancún, and our experience was definitely a mix of highs and lows.
Airport pickup was great, check-in was easy, and from the moment we arrived, the staff was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, we had NO hot water in our room for three days. We reported it multiple times, but it took until the fourth day of our vacation to finally be moved to another room. The second room had great hot water, but several outlets and lights didn’t work. The hotel and rooms could definitely use some updating and better maintenance.
The food was probably our biggest disappointment after the room situation. We did not enjoy the buffets at all. Tavo was the one restaurant we really enjoyed, and Marco Polo was good for the Gala dinner. I definitely think improving the food would make a huge difference.
We also felt the resort was geared much more toward families with young children. Many of the shows and activities centered around kids. That may be perfect for families, but as adults traveling without children, it wasn’t really what we were looking for.
Thankfully, we spent most of our days at the adults-only pool at the sister resort, and that completely changed our vacation. We LOVED it there! The bartenders, servers, and entertainment staff around the pool were incredible.
A HUGE shout-out to Isra! He honestly made our trip. He had us doing yoga, working out in the pool, laughing, and participating in activities. He would also stop by just to chat, tell us about the area, recommend things to do, and even gave us advice about where to shop and how to stay safe when we went out. He genuinely cared about making sure we were having a great vacation. Royal Solaris is very lucky to have him!
The servers around the adults-only pool were also fantastic and took such great care of us.
What really stands out about Royal Solaris is the STAFF. From the bellmen and housekeepers to the bartenders, servers, and entertainment team, everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They are truly the reason we would consider returning.
If management improved the food, updated the rooms, addressed maintenance issues more quickly, and made sure guests didn’t have to wait four days for something as basic as hot water, this could be a much better resort.
Despite the issues we experienced, we came home with some wonderful memories because of the amazing people who work there — especially Isra. ❤️
Alex at the spa was the Absolute Best massage ever! The overall hotel and restaurant review? I feel sorry for the staff. They are so understaffed and everyone we spoke with was complaining about the service. Plus, the air conditioning only works during the day. It shuts off at night. Ugh!
Went here for our 15 Wedding Anniversary. My husband and i absolutely love our experience here specially the seafood restaurant. We also had a great time with Israel who is in charge of physical fitness (yoga, gym, aerobics etc). Israel was supportive, helpful and knowledgeable about many health topics and fitness. I would recommend this resort and plan to go back.
