Just came back from a fantastic week at the Caribe! The resort itself is adults only, intimate and has the added benefits of the neighbouring Solaris resort added in, with great restaurants and (almost) nightly great entertainment. The level of casual friendliness here is the best I’ve experienced at any Cancun resort. It’s genuine and simple, which is so welcoming! So it doesn’t need to be mentioned that the staff are the key here! OK before thanking individuals, let’s cover the basics, check in was great and had a fun personal touch. The facilities such as public restrooms were spotless. Every thing was close by, lots of ramps for accessiblity. Food was universally great, beds very comfortable, nice rainfall style showers, plenty of luggage space/drawers/hanger. Housekeeping was very good, though they did miss a day (no big deal)

At Veneto, Josephine was very nice and polite
At the dinner buffet Antonio and Angel looked after us so well! Thanks guys!
At Tavos Roger was very attentive
At the pool bar Isaias, Kalimba, and Santiago were simply the best
And last but so important, a huge thank you to Israel, Suleica and Alejandra! This is the entertainment team, but they’re not just that, they’re all such amazing people who make sure the guests have a great time & make real connections with the guests both brand new and well known. We loved that they kept us up with activities and recognition!
Anyways folks, this is a resort geared towards peace, comfort, and everything at a perfect pace. A caveat though, not the resorts fault as there are elevators and ramps, but there are unavoidable steps throughout, so those with mobility issues do need to keep that in mind. (Also it’s Mexico with marble floors everywhere so be sure if you’re using AC in your room, keep those windows closed, as condensation may form and the floors can become treacherous. Nothing specific to Caribe, it’s across the board)

Let me start by saying this was our first glimpse at the GR Caribe since its renovation and adults only change…boy were we impressed! From the rooms to the pool to the beach to the plunge pools to the breakfast buffet to the deli/coffee shop to the MVP bar. So many great things have happened since we became members. I am most happy for the dedicated adults only resort to which was our main reason for booking this vacation.
What a relaxing time away it was with the help of some wonderful staff that always had a smile and a pleasant greeting for us all. Myra who seemed to always take care of us at the MVP sports bar as well as the deli/coffee shop was our favorite staff member to run into, Kalimba.
Just want to add that Myra (sports bar) had an infectious smile and her & Carlos (sports bar) went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for being VIP members. Others from GR Caribe that made our stay so enjoyable were Alejandro, LorenaJosephina. (our private dinner).
Angel (who we’ve had the pleasure of seeing in past vacations) & Lupita (pool) were other staff employees from the other Solaris resorts that also made us welcome with their friendly service. You all accomplished what we originally set out for this vacation, to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather and accommodations…it was a great week visiting!
