Breathless Cancun Soul Resort & Spa is located just 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport along the lively Cancun strip in the Hotel Zone. It's nestled between Nichupte Lagoon and Caribbean Ocean with a front view of the monumental Mexican flag for the ultimate welcome and immersion into the Mexican culture. Soak in unmatched ocean and lagoon sunset views from one of our two connecting towers, each offering their own unique vibe, so singles, couples, and friends (+18 years) can discover the perfect mix of excitement and relaxation blended to your liking.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Do not go to this dump. Nothing is open. The stairs are held together with tape. The food is terrible. Staff was fired in front of us. Construction chemical smells everywhere. The wine quality is bad. I tried to buy upgraded bottles of wine but they were out of everything. The Xhale Club was unmanned for the most of the trip so I couldn't get upgraded drinks. I was starving on this trip as only 2 restaurants were open and they were awful. The lower elevator smelled like sewage.
I had a Fantastic time at Breathless in Cancun. I had a wonderful time on the excursions we went to and I liked the restaurants and the amenities there. I really loved the Spa. The staff at this hotel are excellent. They are friendly, helpful and very professional.
breathless is a beautiful resort but currently they are going through some transitions. All the restaurants are not open and you will not get the full experience that they are promising online. There is no 24 hour room service hotel staff is short
Spent 7 days there Sept. 1-8, 2026, for a luxury (All inclusive; Adults only) vacation with my wife as a 50th anniversary present. Selected resort based on their website information/advertisement and other references. Made reservation for 7 nights, Xhale Club Junior Suite, Ocean Front direct with WORLD OF HYATT Inclusive Collection Travel, including air fare, airport/hotel transportation, and travel protection insurance. Expecting a wonderful time, we found a number of listed amenities (not all) missing totally or not as advertised. I have listed and described them below:
Exclusive XHALE CLUB listed benefits (highest level of luxury) Includes:
• Without notice to me, this resort had been sold and as of September 30, 2026 will no longer be part of the Hyatt brand. Therefore, they were going thru what they called a transition stage which was the explanation given as to why amenities were either missing or not as advertised.
• Personalized check-in and check-out with concierge - No such thing. Waited in line at normal registration area.
• Premium Liquors – Not available at any of the bars or restaurants. Selections were standard well liquors.
• Upgraded mini-bar – No wine or liquor nips. Only cans of soda and water bottles.
• In-room martini bar – No such thing. No Gin or Vodka.
Do not go to this resort for any reason. It was a disaster and disappointment in all areas. The main areas of the hotel had dangerous conditions, including stairs that were falling apart, unsafe construction zones and food and drink beverages that made several of my friends and I sick after consumption. I cannot believe that Hyatt would want to be associated with this property in any way and I will be contacting them directly with my concerns and dismay about the property.
