Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had an amazing stay at ATELIER Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon and my birthday. The hotel upgraded us to a beautiful suite with a private pool and also surprised us with flowers and champagne, which we really appreciated.
The food was honestly one of the best parts. On the first day, they give you an app where you can book the different restaurants. There are around 12 restaurants, and our favorite was Los Abrazos. The food and service there were amazing.
We also tried the Michelin star restaurant Maria Dolores inside the hotel for my birthday. I had the Beef Wellington, and it was honestly one of the best dishes I have ever had.
A special thank you to Jonathan Jair from the entertainment team. He was amazing, very friendly, and made the activities so much fun. I really enjoyed the ping pong games and tournaments.
The only disappointing part was the airport transportation on our last day. Our flight time changed only a few hours before, but the hotel required three days notice to change the transportation. Since the airline notified us late, there was nothing we could do, and unfortunately the hotel was not very flexible. We had to pay for an Uber even though transportation was included in our booking.
Other than that, everything was amazing and we had a beautiful experience.
Our stay at Atelier Playa Mujeres was absolutely incredible. This was our first all-inclusive experience, and Atelier may have completely spoiled us.
From arrival to departure, everything felt seamless and luxurious. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious, spotless Junior Ocean View Suite and loved the resort’s pools, beach, activities, entertainment, and restaurants. The resort is huge, so expect plenty of walking, but there is always something to do or somewhere relaxing to escape to.
The food was also a highlight. We especially loved Cilento, Los Abrazos, El Suspiro, and Mercado 19. Room service was excellent as well, and the filet mignon is a must.
However, the staff were truly what made this trip unforgettable. Everyone we encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care about creating a great experience.
A few people deserve special recognition:
Javier Torres – The best towel attendant. We got to know Javier at both pools, and he consistently went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of. More than that, he made us feel like family. We genuinely looked forward to going to the pool just to talk with him. My fiancé called him “the champion of the people,” and Javier is one of the biggest reasons we are already talking about returning so soon.
Miguel (“Micky”) – Our favorite pool server at the livelier pool. He is incredibly friendly, always smiling, makes great food and drink recommendations, and somehow remembers your preferences even days later.
Ernesto and Andrea – Part of the entertainment team and two people who instantly make you feel like a friend. Whether we saw them during pool activities, art classes, or evening entertainment, they brought contagious energy and made everyone feel included.
Nancy – The evening barista at Cafecito near the lobby. We started going every night specifically to see her. Early in the trip, my fiancé mentioned wanting to learn how to do foam art. The next time we came in, Nancy remembered and gave him a lesson on making a heart. That small gesture was incredibly sweet and memorable.
Alfredo – Our favorite bartender at the fun pool. If you see him, let him make your drinks. You will not be disappointed.
And of course, Oscar at El Suspiro and Amir at Cilento also helped make two of our dining experiences especially memorable.
We didn't book Inspira, and honestly, we never felt like we were missing anything. We had an incredibly luxurious and relaxing experience without it.
We originally said we'd come back in a few years, but by the end of the trip we were already talking about returning much sooner. Atelier set the bar extremely high, and the people are a huge part of why.
10/10 — we would absolutely return.
10/10 experience, everyone is so nice and friendly. Came here for my husbands 30th birthday and he had a great time. Food and drinks were great ! Pablo at the pool bar was a great bartender and Julio the waiter was amazing as well.
Everything was perfect from rooms, food, cleanliness, and atmosphere. Everywhere was so quiet and peaceful. There is more than enough to do at this resort and everything gets 5 stars. We ate at Takeshi and it was incredible. The communication was outstanding. Jonathan was our server both times we ate there and he was so kind and professional. He made our experience so great that we will be back at this resort in the future.
The best honeymoon spot! The service and food were absolutely amazing. Rodolfo and Yareni were our butlers and I couldn’t have asked for a better team to make our trip so perfect and memorable. Highly recommend the skewers at the rooftop pool bar and the crème brûlée martini at la calle bar
