Wonderful stay at the one and only royal mirage! We went with our toddler and they were so kind and welcoming - would definitely recommend. Dinner at Nayara was amazing! Special thanks to Jewan, Tilraj, Vikas and Sashmita in la rotisserie for their excellent service and Dev who made our room spotless!
We have been visiting The One and Only for many years. Although it is one of the older hotels in Dubai you would never know as it is maintained to the highest standard. Everything is immaculate. Over the years we have seen the increasing number of buildings spoil the view from the beach which is a shame as I feel this is one of the nicer beaches in Dubai. Sadly during our visit we experienced a build up of algae in the sea which we have never seen before, especially at the Drift bar end of the beach. However this didn’t spoil our holiday. A big thank you to all the staff at the Arabian court, there are too many people to name but the Resturant assistant manager Binod from Rotisserie went above and beyond to make our dinner options that extra special. We will return.
ROOMS 10/10 tidiness, luxury and very goood service from the hotel like many hotels in dubai the standards are very very high
LOCATION 8/10 the location was good very easy to get around the city and we used many taxis to and from our days and nights out but we prefer the jumeriah beach area as more central
FOOD 9/10 food was very very tasty and high quality, we was on the half board option so had a mixture of lunches and dinners and every day we had amazing breakfast.
SERVICE 10/10 the service in dubai is very high and the quality is also amazing but we felt like royalty from the moment we arrived.. Special mention to Ei po and join who we're fantastic at lunch time one day when we was in a rush.. 👏
ATMOSPHERE 7/10 lots building work in and around the area and the palace side of the hotel was closed you can constantly hear building works on the new local palm towers this was a bit much through out the day.
GYM 6/10 The gym was very very small limited running machines and weights machines busy, each day there was people waiting for running machines and we arrived at 7 am.. Best thing was the gym was 24/7 very ideal
OVERALL the hotel was very nice... Very beautiful and very clean, the service was exceptional and the food was great, the bed was stiff but we still slept well and enjoyed our stay and didn't want to return home.. The reception leaving gift was beautiful
DRIFT 9/10 we spent 4 days at the drift beach club that was fun but you have to pay for water yet the pool around the hotel the water is free... So 100m away was free x 4 small.Plastic bottles.. But water In drift it's 40aed a glass bottle.. That was pricey with the 45oC sunshine ☀️
Would we Return.. No.. Too much being built over the top of the hotel and surrounding areas and more towers behind and infront of the hotel and emaar beachfront spoiling a beautiful view
This was our second visit to the Residence after ten years and curious to see if it’s retained its excellent reputation. With so many new Dubai hotels offering so many different experiences could the one & only mirage compete in 2026?
Som many of the Residents guests are repeat visitors. We heard this mentioned time and time again by guests whom looked genuinely pleased to return.
We were there for a wedding anniversary & my wife was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers upon arrival. This was an especially thoughtful gesture.
If there was one thing I would highlight about the Residence is the service & the attention the staff pay to guests. From the breakfast team superbly managed by Felix to the poolside team constantly offering guests little treats such as free water / snacks / sunscreen / sunglass cleaning. It’s the little things here that count.
Special shout out to the front desk staff who were able to help with any requests.
We were on a half board option and I recommend this as dinner and drinks are not cheap. Half board also lets you eat at a number of restaurants at the Arabian Court.
Highly recommend eating at Trescind if you like Michelin star Indian cooking. Half board package gets you 25% off the total bill. Well worth it.
There are things that I think could be improved. The rooms haven’t been upgraded in over 10 years & this shows. The room telephones / TV all need an urgent refresh. The gym has only 4 running machines for over 452 room and suite guests & the gym desperately needs expanding if it is to keep up with other hotels Drinks are expensive with £12 for a bottle of beer in room & £25 for a glass of wine in restaurant.
There was a lovely ritual at the end where my wife and I were given one and only coins and we were asked to make a wish and throw them into the central fountain. This was an especially nice touch & something that we carried home with us.
There are high parts of the hotel closed for renovations and I really hope that all the rooms receive the upgrades they truly deserved.
Just back from a 10 night stay at the Residence at O&O Really fabulous stay loved the exclusivity and staff attention to detail. Highlights was the pool service and staff there. Also The Dining Room new Manager Felix so personable and eager for to give exemplary service and set high standards. All staff really Caring and genuine to make you’re stay the best it can be. Yes there is building work all around high buildings and cranes. The beach sand really well maintained seaweed evident in seawater No clear view out to distant sea as it has been built up The Palace to undergo extensive renovations so totally closed although outdoor restaurants are going to open. If these things don’t matter to much you will absolutely have the best time.
