Excellent hotel with outstanding service. Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out. A special thank you to Antoine for his kindness, professionalism, and exceptional care during my stay. He made the experience truly memorable. Highly recommended!
After more than 13 years and somewhere in the region of 20 stays (I've genuinely lost count!), I can say with absolute certainty this was our favourite stay yet.
Despite major refurbishment works taking place, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every single visit reminds us why we keep returning year after year, but somehow this one managed to surpass them all.
Our villa was simply extraordinary. Calling it a villa almost feels inaccurate – it's more like having your own private luxury hotel. The terrace and swim-up lagoon pool is absolutely spectacular. Every detail has been considered, and there is quite literally everything you could possibly need, including a fully equipped kitchen.
The housekeeping team deserves enormous praise. The villa was maintained to perfection throughout our stay. The bedrooms are beautiful, incredibly comfortable, and without fail I always have the best night's sleep here. The bathrooms – all seven of them! – are fit for royalty, combining luxury, space and elegance in every corner.
Breakfast, served in the villa each morning, was another highlight. The selection was extensive, the quality outstanding, and every morning felt like a special occasion. Fresh, delicious and beautifully presented.
What truly sets this place apart, however, is the people. Luxury surroundings are wonderful, but it's the colleagues who make this resort so special and are the reason we continue to return as regularly as possible.
A special mention must go to Alma, our villa butler, and Yasmin from Guest Services. Their warmth, professionalism, kindness and attention to detail were beyond anything we could have expected. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and by the end of our holiday they felt more like friends than members of staff. They made an already incredible stay completely unforgettable.
Thank you to everyone for another truly magical holiday. After all these years, this remains our favourite place in the world, and we are already counting down the days until our return in August for my birthday. We simply cannot wait!
Our first experience with the Jumeirah brand, and we were truly blown away by the exceptional hospitality and incredible attention to detail.
Needless to say, our stay was superb from start to finish. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome, and the level of service exceeded all our expectations.
We simply cannot recommend this place highly enough. Thank you for creating such wonderful memories—we can't wait to return.
There are some hotels you visit once and remember fondly. And then there are hotels you return to years later and discover that the magic is still there.
The Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah is definitely in the latter category.
I first stayed here when the hotel originally opened, and I remember being blown away by the combination of Arabian elegance, old-world glamour and sheer luxury. Several years passed before I returned, but I'm pleased to say that my second visit in December 2025 reminded me exactly why I loved it the first time.
We stayed for six nights in a Deluxe King Sea View room, and it was every bit as grand as I remembered.
A Little Palace on The Palm
The Zabeel Saray opened in 2011 and was designed around the grandeur of Ottoman palaces, with elaborate interiors inspired by the Ottoman Empire and a distinctly Arabian sense of luxury.
And when you walk into the lobby, you can see exactly what they were going for.
This isn't minimalist Dubai. This is marble, dramatic detailing, chandeliers and serious Arabian opulence.
During our stay there was also a fantastic modern art display in the lobby, which added a contemporary twist to all that traditional grandeur.
It somehow manages to feel both theatrical and incredibly elegant.
Peace and Quiet — With Dubai Nearby
The hotel sits on the western crescent of Palm Jumeirah, so you're away from the constant buzz of central Dubai.
For me, that's actually one of its biggest attractions.
You get the feeling of being away from it all, with the sea surrounding you, while still being only a taxi ride away from the restaurants, shopping and attractions of the city.
It's a particularly good choice if you want your Dubai holiday to include some peace and relaxation rather than spending the entire trip dodging traffic and crowds.
The Room — And Possibly Dubai's Biggest Bathtub
Our Deluxe King Sea View room was huge.
And I mean properly huge.
There was plenty of space to relax, and the sea view from the window was lovely. But the feature that really deserves its own paragraph was the bathtub.
This may genuinely be the largest hotel bathtub I've ever seen.
I'm fairly sure you could comfortably fit four people in it.
I'm not suggesting you should test that theory, of course. But if you have a particularly large family, four friends or simply an unusually strong desire for personal bathing space, you've found your hotel.
The room had that same sense of luxurious Arabian styling as the rest of the property, without sacrificing the comfort and facilities you'd expect from a modern five-star hotel.
More Than Just a Pretty Face
One of the things I particularly like about the Zabeel Saray is that there's plenty to do without necessarily leaving the property.
There's a substantial spa and gym, and — rather unusually for a hotel — there's even an on-site cinema.
So if the Dubai heat has defeated you and you can't face sightseeing, you can quite legitimately spend the afternoon being pampered, working out or watching a film.
There are also several restaurants to choose from, which means you're certainly not short of dining options.
One of my favourites was the high-end Indian restaurant, which delivered the sort of food and surroundings you'd expect from a luxury property of this calibre.
Would I Stay Again?
Absolutely.
The biggest test for any repeat hotel stay is whether it still lives up to your memories — and in the case of the Zabeel Saray, it did.
It retains that sense of Arabian elegance and grandeur that impressed me when I first visited, while still offering everything you'd expect from a modern Dubai luxury resort.
The location on The Palm gives you peace and spectacular surroundings, while Dubai itself is still easily accessible by taxi.
The rooms are enormous, the public areas are stunning, there's an excellent choice of facilities and restaurants, and that bathtub deserves some sort of architectural award.
Most importantly, after having stayed here once many years ago and returning again in 2025, I can genuinely say I'd happily come back for a third visit.
Verdict: Arabian glamour, enormous rooms, spectacular surroundings and a bathtub that could probably qualify as a swimming pool — the Zabeel Saray still has the wow factor.
The villa was absolutely beautiful! We loved the private parking and the spacious five-bedroom layout. The interior was so pretty and thoughtfully designed, but the private pool was definitely the highlight of our trip. Having access to the beach for walks and swimming made the stay even more special, and the in-villa breakfast was such a lovely touch.
