We had a wonderful holiday at this hotel. The hotel even exceeded our expectations: stylish rooms, perfect cleanliness, and attentive and friendly staff. Excellent beach and pools. The food in all the restaurants was very tasty, with a diverse cuisine. The atmosphere was very pleasant - we had a room with a sea view, so beautiful! We were very pleased with the level of service and were left with only positive emotions. We would also like to give a special thank you to Shehrooz at the hotel, who made our trips the best. Highly recommended to book yacht trips with Shehrooz from ARB YACHTS. We will definitely come back again and recommend this hotel.
The hotel is very clean and the food is great i enjoyed my stay so much and the waiter ahmed atia in serena restaurant is very decent

First impressions really do count, and unfortunately mine were not very welcoming.
I travelled to Dubai on my own and have stayed in a number of hotels there over the years. This hotel just wasn’t for me, and I personally wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
On arrival, there was an issue regarding a deposit which was not handled particularly well. The manager came across as dismissive rather than helpful, and being told to take it up with my agent did not make for a good start to the holiday.
The room itself was also quite underwhelming compared with what I expected. To be fair, whenever I contacted staff they came to the room quickly, but I felt as though I was constantly having to ask for things that I would normally expect to already be provided.
The daily cleaning was another disappointment. Even after the cleaners had been in, I was still finding hairs on the floor and small bits left around the room. It felt more like the room had been tidied than properly cleaned.
The beach itself was actually one of the nicest parts of the stay. The sea was lovely and warm and generally calmer than JBR, although it could get a little rougher later in the day.
However, one incident with the lifeguard did concern me. A young woman was on the beach alone and the lifeguard appeared to spend a considerable amount of time talking to her and teaching her to swim. His attention seemed to be focused on her rather than on the wider swimming area.
At the same time, there were families in the water, including a very young baby in a flotation ring with the parents. I appreciate that parents are responsible for their own children, but I would still expect the lifeguard supervising the beach to be focused on the sea and everyone using it.
This stood out to me because I have never experienced anything like this with a lifeguard in Dubai before. In my experience, lifeguards there are usually extremely safety-conscious and very focused on the water, so this situation felt unusual and concerning.
There were some positives. The location is very nice, the sea was lovely, and staff were quick to respond when I contacted them.
However, for me, the hotel itself did not live up to the location. The room was underwhelming, the cleaning could have been better, and the overall atmosphere was not what I was looking for. I also would not personally describe it as a particularly family-oriented hotel.
Having stayed in a number of hotels in Dubai, this would not be one I would return to.
Serena dining restaurant: good food, best service to Ahmed Attia, who went above and beyond to make my birthday dinner special.
