Atlantis The Royal

We booked the Nobu Night swim here as part of our holiday. Staff were friendly, walked us to our day bed and explained the redeemable food and drink offer. Music was chilled, atmosphere was really nice etc It was nice to just chill out with our drinks on the bed.. There are shower / toilet facilities for non hotel guests to use after the experience. Everywhere was clean and well presented. I think the night swim is 8pm - 11pm and we got there just after 8. Wasn’t over crowded at all and not overrun with ‘influencers’ which was the case at some of the other places we’d been to. Food and drinks menu was varied and not as expensive as we’d thought it would be. Water wasn’t too cold and there was a lifeguard on duty at all times. Staff kept checking on guests so there was no waiting around to order food and drink. We weren’t staying there and would have liked to stay a bit longer to look around the hotel itself which was impressive.

“6 star” hotels are often overhyped. After a disappointing experience at One and Only Zabeel last year we were skeptical of how Atlantis the Royal would fare. How it shot the lights out! Pre-check in the e-butler (again, at other places this was done so badly with long wait times) was super responsive and helpful. Every touch point exceeded expectations (including my husband calling to help with his visa and them sorting him out on the phone!). Our flight from Taiwan arrived early and the reception gentleman (Husni) went out of his way to accommodate an early checkin. We stayed in a suite with complimentary amenities that boggled the mind (gold brushes!). The chopard toiletries are divinely scented, sadly exclusively made for the hotel (will just need to come back!). Every need was anticipated including a charging box, international plugs built into the headboard and an outstanding minibar service that seemed to be replenished by magic. The access to Aquaventure was fantastic meaning in a three day stay we hardly left the resort perimeter. Genuinely felt like royalty. Special shoutout to the kids club staff- we have been to many kids clubs all around the world and my son never wants to stay alone. The kids club staff pulled off a miracle with him not only staying but going back for more. The falcon training experience was a particular highlight. Finally, a review of this hotel is incomplete without effusive praise of the culinary offerings. The breakfast is out of this world. They deserve best in the world. The desserts everywhere are delectable. The club lounge addition is totally worth it. The live station in the evening was phenomenal. I will have stars in my eyes for many weeks to come as I look fondly back on a team that has really re-defined extraordinary hospitality. Thank you thank you thank you.
