Didnt feel as a Marriott Hotel
Positive things first: Checkin was a pleasure with service minded and friendly staff. In general that goes for all the staff. They seem very service minded, so thumbs up for them! The hotel looks very nice and half of it is an appartment hotel. I stayed at the hotel part. Room was clean and enough space for a comfortable stay. As usual at Marriott, the beds and pillows was very comfortable. In the room there was also a coffee machine, which always is very appreciated, especially in the mornings.
Breakfast buffet was very nice with an ok selection of cold and warm food. And not crowded. The restaurant staff were the ones I found most service minded during my stay so thumbs up for them.
The location of the hotel is pretty much on a small spot which is surrounded by highways. So there is nothing, absolutely nothing, to see or experience in the small area where you can walk. Luckily there are a couple of grocery stores. But you will need taxi or your own car if you want to go somewhere.
The room had a balcony. But strangely no lights, so it was pretty dark and sad place to be after the sun went down. The Excecutive Lounge was closed as well, not sure why. It didnt look like it was under renovation.
One small detail which also surprised me was that they did not provide a soap bar in the bathroom. The only soap was a liquid handwash in the shower. So when I wanted to wash my hands I had to walk into the shower to get some soap. If I had a shower within hours earlier the result was very wet feet and change of socks afterwards. I purchased a soap bar in a grocery store though. But it is just a small detail which wouldnt cost the hotel a lot to improve.
Edit: After some days the cleaning staff did actually provide a soap bar after they have cleaned the room, so it might have been a mistake that it wasnt there during the first days.
The score could perhaps been 4 from my side, but as this is a Marriott hotel my expectations are a bit higher than if it was just an average budget hotel.

Commendation for Awsaf
I would like to commend Awsaf. We happened to have a lot of shopping bags, and he kindly helped us unload everything from the taxi. He offered us a cart and even escorted us all the way to our room. You could really tell that he was kind, friendly, and very accommodating.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel in Dubai. The location is great and conveniently close to everything I needed. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, and the rooms and public areas are exceptionally clean.
The overall value for money is fair, and the hotel is quiet, making it a comfortable place to stay. The service was also very good throughout my visit.
One suggestion for improvement would be to provide smoking rooms or allow guests to choose smoking accommodations.
A special thanks to Awsaf, who made my stay even better. He is very friendly, always smiling, and genuinely welcoming to guests. His positive attitude and excellent hospitality really stood out and deserve recognition.
