This business-friendly hotel is conveniently located close to Dubai International Financial Centre and downtown Dubai. Dubai International Airport is a 20-minute driving distance and is also served by shuttle service. The iconic Burj Khalifa is a short driving distance from this outstanding property. All of the suites and rooms of the hotel are fitted with elegant furniture and showcase sleek decor and modern amenities. Guests who want to sample the authentic flavours of Middle Eastern cuisine, with its intriguing spices and fresh vegetables, can visit the traditional restaurant. Moreover, those who want to treat themselves to Spanish or Moroccan delights or savour the tastes of Lebanon and Asia can have their pick from the other two restaurants.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel was really nice and the breakfast was nice. Housekeeping took really good care of us and some of the staff in front office were nice. However they have a travel desk which didn’t deliver the best service for our desert safari. We were given a package in which upon delivery it didn’t look like a package. It looked haphazard and nothing was well put together. We were all over the place. Quad biking had to happen in the direction that was totally opposite to the camp. We were told we were going to get refreshments throughout the tour but the person who drove us around got us one sprite to share with my friend and 2 bottles of water. The camp he took us to wasn’t the best. I’ve been to desert safari before and I’ve had way better experiences than what I saw that day. I think they had to get the cheapest they could get. And to think that I had let go of a service which I knew was going to deliver something better than what we ended up getting. The travel desk lady however asked for feedback but there was nothing to do about it. The hotel on its own is a good hotel. I had two front office gentlemen who treated us well. It’s only that I have forgotten their names.
I had a really enjoyable stay at Carlton Downtown Hotel while visiting Dubai as a Travel Counsellor for ATM. The hotel is in a very convenient location on Sheikh Zayed Road, making it easy to get around Dubai, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable.
A special mention to Raphael, the restaurant manager his professionalism and genuine approach really stood out and made the dining experience feel personal and well looked after.
Simply the best stay you can stay in Downtown. Romms are neat, returning back the value you paid for. All staffs are extremely cheerful and professional.
