Excellent Stay with Outstanding Service – Special Thanks to Athul at the Front Desk
I recently had a wonderful stay at this hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. The rooms were comfortable, the hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the service was warm and professional. The staff were courteous and always willing to help, which made the stay even more pleasant.
A special mention to Athul from the Front Desk, who was extremely helpful, polite, and welcoming. His attentive service and positive attitude really stood out and made the check-in and overall experience smooth.
Overall, a great stay and I would happily recommend this hotel to others. Looking forward to visiting again!
A functional stay with a few genuinely good elements
Location — 3/5 Quite central and close to most places by car, but there is very little to do immediately around the hotel, and traffic can be unpleasant.
Design / Vibe — 1/5 Lots of plastic gold and pseudo-luxury, without even a particularly convincing Oriental character to justify the extravagance.
Room — 4/5 Putting the design aside, the room itself was surprisingly well done. Comfortable bed, good layout and plenty of space made it a pleasant place to stay.
In-room Amenities — 3/5 Good shower products and the basics were there, but the electrical setup is outdated — my iPhone would not charge from the available outlets. Cheap tea and no coffee machine also felt below my expectations.
Gym — 4/5 Spacious, clean and perfectly usable. The equipment isn’t the newest, but overall it is a solid hotel gym.
Spa — 0/5 It exists, but was closed in the morning when I wanted to use it, so unfortunately it provided no value during my stay.
Food & Drink — 2/5 Breakfast has more of a canteen atmosphere. The fresh fruit selection saved my morning, but otherwise there was little to get excited about.
Service — 3/5 Perfectly fine. I didn’t ask for much during this stay, and everything worked as expected, but there was nothing that particularly elevated the experience either.
Loyalty Recognition — 4/5 A nice upgrade and complimentary breakfast as a standard loyalty benefit were appreciated. The welcome cakes looked and tasted rather 1990s, but the gesture was there — and I do value the effort.
Value for Money — 3/5 At around $70 in the off-season, it is inexpensive for Abu Dhabi. The problem is that around the $100 mark you can often find a genuinely luxurious experience in the city, which makes the value proposition here less compelling.

Words cannot fully express my gratitude for Mr. Hamza at the front desk, who truly helped me beyond limits, going out of the way to help me during my stay at the Royal Rose Hotel Abu Dhabi. He went far above and beyond his standard duties, stepping in with unmatched dedication, resourcefulness, and empathy when I needed assistance the most. His exceptional professionalism, combined with a genuine care for his guests, completely transformed my experience and turned a potentially stressful situation into a flawless stay.
