Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island

We are extremely disappointed with our stay and, sadly, it has been far below the standard we have come to expect from Rixos.

Service around the pool is particularly poor. There appears to be only one member of staff taking drink orders for a very large area, meaning waits of 45 minutes or more just to order a drink are common. No water is proactively provided, which is surprising given the heat.

The service in the restaurants is equally frustrating. Food and drink orders are incredibly slow, and it is not unusual to wait 30 minutes or longer for a drink. On several occasions, we had finished our meals before our drinks had even arrived. They also struggle to accommodate food allergies and intolerances. Guests have to provide notice in advance, and even then, if the person you spoke to the day before is not working, there seems to be no chance of the request being properly communicated or accommodated.

What has made the experience even more disappointing is that the facilities and services advertised on the website do not reflect the reality of what is actually being offered. Expectations were set at a certain level, but the experience has fallen well short.

We have stayed with Rixos before and have always enjoyed excellent service, which is why this has come as such a surprise. Unfortunately, choosing to stay here has felt like a huge mistake, and rather than being a relaxing holiday, it has been a frustrating and upsetting experience.

Just came back from an amazing holiday at the Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island. This is our second visit to the hotel and we had a wonderful experience again. We arrived at 9am to the hotel and Renita at reception was extremely helpful and our room was ready after 10am. She even remembered us as we exchanged emails prior to our visit ( we celebrated my birthday at the hotel) We tried most of the facilities at the hotel and they were all amazing! The food and drinks options are superb. Really good quality of spirits. The gym was well equipped and Phillip, the trainer, was really helpful. Really enjoyed the Vitamin bar after my workouts. The Spa was really good too! The pool and beach bar staff are so kind and helpful. Niko at the pool bar was fantastic always smiling and making sure we were ok. He’s definitely an asset for the hotel. So was Maneeshy at the beach bar, he always remembered what drinks we had. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the hotel and we are already thinking of coming back!

This our second time at the Rixos Premium Saadiyat island. We have throughly enjoyed our time here. The food and drink options are great, all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would like to make a special mention to Ashraf at the pool bar has been absolutely great, he always greets everyone with a smile on his face. Considering he skates around the pool serving people all day long, he is always very happy to help. He is an extremely hard worker and asset for Rixos. Thanks again The Ross Family room 4403
