This exclusive hotel boasts a privileged position in the city of Abu Dhabi. There are several points of interest not far from the establishment, including the Corniche area with cycling paths and parks and the modern Abu Dhabi Mall for shopping lovers. Boasting a strategic position just 30 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, this property is highly recommendable both for business and leisure travellers alike. Visitors might wish to stay in different accommodation units, depending on the reason of their trip and if they travel alone or with the family. However, either if they choose to stay in a standard room, a luxurious suite or an ample penthouse, they will be pleased with the elegant and modern amenities included and the homey atmosphere. The property offers a wide range of stunning facilities and services, including a rooftop swimming pool and a Jacuzzi to relax and a state-of-the-art workout room to keep fit.
We stayed at Jannah Burj Al Sarab for 3 nights as part of the Yas Kids Go Free offer. I booked the hotel on half board, mainly because we were travelling with the kids, but unfortunately the hotel really let us down.
The service is very inconsistent. Some staff are really nice and helpful, but others honestly look like they don’t care at all. You can feel the difference immediately.
The rooms are old, and the twin beds are extremely small. They are not suitable at all for 2 adults and 2 kids.
But the worst part was the food. The breakfast and dinner buffet had very little variety and the food quality was really poor. Some food had a very bad smell, and we noticed insects around the food area, which is honestly unacceptable.
It also looked like some of the food from breakfast was being served again at dinner. I don’t know if that’s actually what was happening, but that’s how it looked and smelled.
I gave feedback on the first day, hoping they would at least try to improve things, but unfortunately nothing really changed.
Tonight was our last night. We came for dinner around 9 PM with the family and there was almost nothing left. One of the staff members saw the situation herself and saw how bad the food was, but there was nothing she could really do apart from taking my email address.
I honestly expected much better. We booked this hotel because of the Yas Kids Go Free package, and unfortunately the hotel experience took away from what should have been a nice family trip.
Some staff were genuinely good, but overall, based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families booking half board.
I'd like to share my experience at Jannah Burj Al Sarab Hotel Abu Dhabi. It was a wonderful and very comfortable stay, with remarkable cooperation from the entire staff and continuous assistance from everyone, starting from reception and the rooms to all hotel activities. I would also like to especially thank Mr. Yousef Al Ameri for his cooperation in resolving any booking-related difficulties, avoiding any delays, and completing all procedures quickly and professionally. Thank you very much.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I have experienced.
I booked my stay through the Island website, which I have always considered a trusted booking platform. However, the level of service provided during our three-night stay was far below what I expected from a hotel of this standard.
I would first like to recognize Shiyaz at the reception, who handled our check-in smoothly and professionally. I would also like to thank Yousof from Reception for the smooth handling of the payment for our extra bed.
Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there.
We booked two rooms for eight guests, including children. When we received the rooms, we found only one towel, one bottle of water, one tea bag, and one sugar in the room, despite the number of guests staying.
We immediately requested additional towels, but it took an extremely long time to receive them, and they were not delivered until after 8:00 PM.
During check-in, we also requested baby cribs for both rooms. We were assured that they would be provided before 6:00 PM. However, despite staying for three nights and making several follow-up requests, the cribs were never provided.
We also requested an extra bed, for which we paid AED 300 for three days. Although the payment was handled smoothly by Yousof, we then had to wait approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes for the bed to be delivered. I understand that the hotel may have been operating at high occupancy, but once a service has been requested and paid for, I believe such a delay is unacceptable.
The following day, we requested to move rooms because the air conditioning in Room 104 was not cooling properly. The room move was arranged while we were spending the day at Yas Island.
However, when we returned to the hotel after 7:00 PM, we discovered that the extra bed—which had already been paid for—had not been transferred to the new room, Room 705.
Once again, we had to go back and forth with Reception and contact the operator several times to arrange something that had already been paid for. We eventually waited approximately another hour for the extra bed.
What was most disappointing was the lack of communication and follow-up. We repeatedly had to chase the hotel for basic requests instead of the hotel taking ownership and ensuring that the requests were completed.
I completely understand that hotels can experience high occupancy and busy periods. However, high occupancy should not result in guests having to repeatedly call, visit Reception, and wait hours for basic amenities and already-paid services.
For a hotel located in such an important and busy business and leisure area, I honestly expected a much higher standard of service, organization, communication, and guest care.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel and I sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews the operational issues with the relevant departments
