Al Raha Beach is located in lush parkland on a delightful corniche overlooking the shimmering Arabian Gulf, only 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi city centre. Abu Dhabi Airport is 10 kms away. This first resort hotel in Abu Dhabi strikes a balance between contemporary architecture and traditional Arabian design. This exotic jewel of a hotel is the ideal oasis in which to relax with friends and colleagues. The hotel offers 110 guestrooms, including 4 executive, 2 diplomatic and 5 royal suites. The hotel also features 24 elegantly furnished villas. It has a McGettigan bar and restaurant. There are two swimming pools, one outdoor and one indoor, a sauna and spa treatments. The hotel also offers a gym. For a truly wonderful stay in an idyllic setting, stay at Al Raha Beach.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge). Guests can get around on the shuttle (surcharge), which operates within 20 kilometres.
A wonderful stay — we would happily return!
We were very happy with our choice of Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa in Abu Dhabi. The hotel is in a good location, and we enjoyed our stay so much that we booked an extra night, allowing us to make the most of our final day and stay until late that night.
Our ground-floor room was spacious and very comfortable, with high ceilings and a private terrace. It faced the villas and the bay rather than the road, which gave us a lovely, quiet setting. The bathroom was exceptionally large, with both a shower and a bathtub, plus a separate toilet. Everything was kept very clean, and the housekeeping team came every day, making sure the room was well looked after and we had everything we needed.
Breakfast was delicious, with a wide selection and something for everyone. We chose bed and breakfast because we spent much of our afternoons and evenings exploring Abu Dhabi and Dubai, so this suited us perfectly.
We never had any trouble finding sun loungers at either the pool or the beach. The pool is smaller than it appears in the photos, but it was perfectly adequate for the number of guests during our stay, with plenty of space to enjoy a swim. There is also a poolside bar. Even when the hotel became busier at the beginning of October, there were still plenty of loungers available, particularly on the beach. We could arrive at 10 or 11 in the morning and easily find a spot.
The beach overlooks a sheltered channel connected to the bay rather than the open sea. The water was wonderfully warm — we barely wanted to get out! It was also very salty, making it easy to lie back and float effortlessly.
The main downside was the construction work directly across the channel, which could be heard from both the beach and the pool. At times, there was loud banging from machinery driving metal sections into the ground near the water. The water was also a little murky, although we cannot say whether this was connected to the construction.
One useful discovery was a discreet alcohol shop on the ground floor within the hotel premises. It is an independent shop rather than a hotel-run outlet, and we found the prices very reasonable. It was not immediately obvious where it was: the map initially made it look as though it was beside the hotel, but the listing’s description helped us find it inside.
The lobby and reception area were clean and spacious, and the staff were always ready to help.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and are very pleased we chose this hotel. When we next visit Abu Dhabi, we would happily book Al Raha Beach Resort & Spa again.
We’ve had a fantastic two weeks at the Al Raha Beach & Spa Resort (25/09 - 09/10/26, room 368) All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Everyone says hello, always with a smile and ask if can they do anything else for you. The housekeeping team of Raja, Illaya and Presad were amazing. Our room was expertly cleaned and the towel art and rose petals were fantastic. A touch of class. At the poolside bar, La Piscine, the team were so nice providing excellent service but also taking the time to chat. The lifeguards by the pool, again so friendly whilst keeping everyone safe. All of the restaurant staff were fantastic and the food was delicious! Also the concierge staff were so welcoming and helpful. Overall, fantastic location close to the airport, Yas Bay and the Yas Island attractions. 10/10 Highly recommended! Hope to come back again next year!
Came over to visit family who have recently moved to Abu Dhabi and had an amazing all inclusive break at Al Raha. Very welcoming atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. Big thanks to Gokul, Sara, Gukan and Illaya for helping make our stay even better than we thought possible. Definitely recommended and we will surely be staying here again next time we visit

We were delighted to find new towel figures on the bed daily, along with lovely fresh flowers that made our stay extra special. Excellent hotel, my son and I stayed here, everything was perfect, we had a wonderful week, and the rooms were cleaned perfectly. Javed, Naim, and Vijhwa were very polite and attentive. The main restaurant is excellent, but the other restaurants don't offer as much variety and offer a menu with a very limited selection of dishes.
