This hotel is architecturally gorgeous, built around the historic Brunton Boatyard. On my recent trip here with my wife, what impressed me most was the staff—their professionalism, care, and attentiveness to detail. They truly bent over backwards to ensure the room setup and facilities were comfortable for someone like me with mobility issues.
The breakfast buffet is lavish, ranging from continental selections to authentic local dishes. The croissants were perfect: crisp, buttery, and airy. The chicken biryani at The Armoury was also top-notch.
The location offers a prime view of the waterfront, which is bustling with activity from early morning until sunset—from traditional fishing boats to silent electric water metros and older ferries carrying cars. Our balcony provided the perfect vantage point to relax and watch the harbor life go by.
Beyond the dining and views, the resort offers wonderful daily inclusions that made the experience even more memorable, including a sunset cruise and afternoon high tea.
A special mention goes to Ms. Priya the manager and Ms. Ashwati, the general manager, Chef Rohit, and the rest of the team who treated us less like hotel guests and more like welcomed family. Brunton Boatyard isn't just a place to stay; it’s an exceptional hospitality experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fort Kochi, especially those looking for thoughtful, top-tier service.
A Wonderful Stay in Kochi
A group of us from Canada spent a couple of nights at this beautiful resort while visiting India, and we had a truly wonderful stay!
The Grounds: The resort grounds are absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful trees, lush greenery, vibrant plants, and a lovely pool. It was a pleasure to walk around the property and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views of Kochi Lake. The ambience is perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
The entire team was warm, courteous, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special thank you to Priya, who was extremely helpful and accommodating with all our requests and made sure we were well taken care of.
Overall, it was a memorable experience, and we would be happy to recommend this resort to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in Kochi.
Where heritage and old-world charm beautifully meet nature, this oasis offers a truly magical experience. Spread across an acre of lush surroundings, the property beautifully showcases its heritage and colonial architecture while providing a peaceful escape. All the staff members are incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, with special appreciation to Priya for taking such wonderful care of us throughout our stay. The entire team was caring and always ready to assist with our needs. Staying here and indulging in a spa experience is definitely something I would highly recommend. A beautiful place to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy genuine hospitality.
Before staying at Brunton, we have stayed at two of their other properties, namely the ones at wellington Island and mararikulam properties. This visit was our first at The Brunton and we were grateful to them for shifting usbasic rooms to sea-facing rooms without requesting for it. It reminded me why we keep returning:

Checked in - 25 July 2026 Checked out - 28 July 2026 Visited with my wife. Booked sea facing room. To my surprise the room was very big. It has one big room with attached bathroom and a huge hall with attached toilet and pantry. The sea view was from our hall. There was also a small balcony attached to our bedroom. The property showcase nice heritage vibe. The staff —- very high standards, very professional. It has a common large pool which was very clean and the view from the pool is also sea view. You can see many big to small ships passing by which was again a great experience. The hi tea again was very nice with lot of snacking options. This property showcase a real 5 star standards. The location is very good. We travelled to fort Kochi from Guruvayur by a rental car and our Google map gave us the route which has a 5 mins ferry route to go to this hotel. The waiting time to board the ferry was approx 1 hrs.. please make sure to check the route prior to start. The hospitality and vibe was just awesome. The food was good though veg options are very limited but whatever is available has very high standards. I would definitely recommend this property to my family and friends and would definitely prefer my next stay here.
