The hotel is situated along the breath-taking western coastline of Sri Lanka, and one of the highlights of a stay here is appreciating the view of the amazing Sri Lankan sunset while enjoying a cool drink on the hotel terrace.
We had a wonderful experience at Jetwing Lighthouse. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and has a truly luxurious atmosphere. The service was excellent, and a special mention goes to Tekny, who was extremely friendly, attentive and helpful throughout our stay. His warm and professional way of taking care of guests really made a difference. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!
Suite was tired with ill fitting doors and windows meaning that, due to persistent rains, everything was damp and the inefficiency of the AC did not cope with the moisture in the air. Unfortunately the hotel lacked guest numbers resulting in poor menu choices.

The best place to stay in Sri Lanka, coming from a Sri Lankan family living in Melbourne. Geoffrey Bawa’s architecture of the hotel is easy on both the eyes and the soul, the ocean views are stunning and the food was exceptional. We stayed for just under a week and we were spoiled! No effort was spared to make us comfortable, by the staff - including the chef Nilantha Perera and executive chef Sujith Awantha of the main dining room, who made special dishes for my daughter, who was ill - and then surprised us with a special crab curry and roast paan dinner on our last night. Special mention to Vihangi Amanda, who went above and beyond on our daughter’s worst night. The hotel also arranged a complementary shuttle to and from the Galle Fort, so we could explore the surroundings. A fantastic experience all around - we will back for sure!!
