Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I would like to share my experience because, unfortunately, this property was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had.
The communication and response time were extremely poor, especially when I was trying to arrange the airport pickup. The property advertises a free airport shuttle, yet I was charged US$20 for what was approximately a 10-minute drive from the airport. That was extremely disappointing and felt misleading.
Unfortunately, there was very little hospitality or customer service throughout my stay. While I understand that language differences can sometimes make communication difficult, that does not explain the overall lack of attention and service.
Most importantly, the room was dirty and had a terrible smell, and the bathroom and shower were even worse. The room door also did not lock properly, which made me very uncomfortable especially as a solo traveler. To make matters worse, there was significant noise outside throughout the night, so I was barely able to sleep.
I also asked for an extra bottle of water and was told they could not provide one because I was checking out that same day. This was a very unnecessary and disappointing response. I have traveled through Sri Lanka for almost two weeks and water was never asked to pay extra for it. This was not a cheap stay by all means.
The property also advertises a gym, but there is no gym, which was one of the reasons I selected this hotel. I chose the property primarily because of its proximity to the airport and because the photos looked quite decent. Unfortunately, the reality was very different from what was advertised. Another reason why I selected it is because it had a pool and I wanted to relax before my flight. I didn't use it as it was very filthy as well.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. Between the misleading shuttle and gym information, poor communication, dirty and unpleasant room, malfunctioning door lock, and unbearable nighttime noise, I would not recommend this property and would definitely not stay here again.

The hotel was very clean and the suite was beautiful. The staff were kind too. Food quality can be improved.
I recently attended the Sunday Brunch Dayout at Amagi Aria Negombo, and it was a delightful experience. The location is absolutely superb, with serene surroundings that make it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
The food was excellent, featuring a rich variety of dishes that cater to different tastes. From fresh seafood to flavourful local and international selections, everything was well-prepared and satisfying. The spread offered both taste and variety, making it hard to pick a favourite.
Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable brunch experience, combining a great location, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing Sunday treat by the Lagoon.
