Anantara Kalutara Resort

This was our 5th time staying at Anantara Kalutara and once again the hotel exceeded our expectations. This visit was especially memorable as we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and the entire team went above and beyond to make it a truly special weekend!

As always, the staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, the amenities were fantastic, the food was amazing and the cleanliness was absolutely on point. What makes Anantara Kalutara stand out for us though is the incredible service and the familiar faces who make every visit feel like coming back home.

A very special thank you to Nilinya, who helped us with our check-in, arranged our extended check-out and was always incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Her warm and thoughtful service really made a difference.

A huge thank you to Suranda as well, whom we have had the pleasure of seeing on every one of our visits. He consistently goes out of his way to make our stays better, whether it is through his excellent service, the food or simply the great conversations and friendly chats. It is always wonderful to see a familiar face who genuinely remembers and cares about his guests. And a special mention for the mango milkshake — my daughter absolutely loved it!

Reshan also deserves a special mention for going the extra mile to decorate our room for my wife’s birthday and arranging a lovely birthday cake. These thoughtful touches made the celebration even more memorable.

Thank you to Kavithra for making sure the shisha was always on point. We really enjoyed it and appreciated the attention to detail.

Another big thank you to Thisara, the pool attendant/lifeguard, who always makes sure we get our regular spot, looks after us with his usual friendly service and even keeps the shooters coming! He always finds a way to make our pool time much more enjoyable.

And finally, a huge thank you to the Kids Club team. Our daughter always loves spending time there and this visit was no exception. She especially loved the rabbit feeding session, which was definitely a highlight for her.

What we love most about Anantara Kalutara is that the service and overall experience genuinely seem to get better and better with every visit. Five visits in and we are already looking forward to the next one.

Amazing hotel which is made even better by the friendly and hard working staff. You are an asset to the hotel!

There are many to mention but here are a few! From the bar staff - Kavi, Chamod, Sarinder, Michan, Roshan. From the restaurant - Chiranthra, Ishara, Imasha, Iran, Heshani, Vinashi and Maduranga.

A special thanks to Krish as Duty Manager for making our stay so comfortable and to Cristoph the hotel manager for the mosquito remedy! And thank you to Dishan, the friendly life guard!

And finally thank you to Thisanthi (apologies if I’ve spelt it wrong) who made up our room and gave us lots of his cricket knowledge!

As a family of four we had spacious interconnecting rooms with a lovely view of the ocean which were well appointed and kept very clean. Beds were very comfortable.

Food was well cooked with a good selection of foods available. Pools were clean and well looked after too.

I would definitely recommend visiting here.
