I spent four nights at Anantara Kalutara as a solo traveller and had an exceptional stay. It was also a perfect choice for a short stay in Sri Lanka, conveniently located for Colombo airport while offering the atmosphere of a beautiful tropical resort.
From my very early morning arrival, the welcome was wonderfully warm, and I particularly appreciated having my room ready after an overnight flight.
What made the stay truly memorable was the genuine warmth of the people. Service throughout the resort was attentive, thoughtful and discreet. As a solo traveller, I always felt completely comfortable and very well looked after without the attention ever feeling intrusive. I would particularly like to recognise the kitchen and restaurant teams for their care and personal attention.
The wellness experience was another highlight. I enjoyed several excellent Ayurvedic treatments, while the yoga sessions became some of the most memorable moments of my stay. The resort has a wonderful sense of calm, with beautiful tropical surroundings and the ocean close by. What distinguished Anantara Kalutara for me was the combination of luxury, excellent service and genuine human warmth. I genuinely regretted having to leave, and would happily return.

What made this stay so special for us was, above all, the people. Everywhere we went, we were greeted with a smile and treated with genuine warmth. With beautiful views and amazing service Anantara Kalutara is a paradise by the beach! Yummy food and the super friendly staff of Anantara make you feel relaxed and royal and take care of you giving attention to every small details.
