An Exceptional Stay at Shangri-La Colombo
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish! Shangri-La Colombo was one of the highlights of my trip to Sri Lanka.
The ocean view from the room was simply spectacular ، waking up to that view was an experience in itself. The swimming pool was beautiful, relaxing, and exceptionally well maintained.
The food was excellent, with great quality and variety, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel was elegant without feeling cold or overly formal.
One of my favorite parts was the live music in the evenings, especially around the restaurant and lobby area. It created such a sophisticated and enjoyable atmosphere and made the evenings feel special.
From the location and ocean views to the service, food, pool, ambiance, and attention to detail, everything came together beautifully.
A truly luxurious, relaxing, and memorable experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo.

Excellent guest relations
Magnificent hotel, wonderful staff, extremely comfortable spacious rooms with excellent dining options especially the wonderful breakfast. In particular, I would highly commend Arunadi at Guest Relations who was a lovely member of staff. Arunadi was very professional, extremely courteous and went out of her way to be helpful, making our stay at the Shangri-La extremely special and memorable. She is a credit to the hotel and must be commended on her wonderful hospitality and service. We are really looking forward to returning to the Shangri-La, Colombo.

Great Location and Sea Views, But Breakfast Was Absolute Chaos
The Good: Spectacular Sea Views: Booking the Sea View room was completely worth it. Excellent Location: The hotel connects directly to the One Galle Face shopping mall, which is perfect for spending a few hours shopping or dining. Chai Wallah: The best part of breakfast was the Indian Chai Wallah walking around serving fantastic, authentic tea. The Bad: Housekeeping Failures: The room itself was nice, but housekeeping did a poor job of keeping it clean during our stay. Breakfast Mass Chaos: The morning buffet is a complete madhouse with zero table service. No Organization: Nobody greets or seats you, waiters just run around aimlessly, and tables completely lack cutlery and serviettes, forcing you to constantly ask for basics. Omelette Station Mess: The live cooking stations are deeply unorganized; staff tell you to wait, only to give your food to people who arrived after you. Verdict:The physical property and location of the Shangri-La Colombo are great, but the terrible breakfast management and lax housekeeping really let the 5-star brand down.

I got a good experience in there . Really teasty foods friendly staff specially Sanduni Nayanika helped us in everything. So thanks for the everything. Foods are valued for the money we gave.
Luxury in paradise
Amazing hotel/ the wonderful aroma of Shangrila makes me so relaxed! Massages by lessa and Dayan weee deep and wonderful. SUMAL at the gym helped me with stretches and taught a yoga class - what an amazing person! Breakfast buffet was so complete- alls let’s of delight. The best almond croissant in the world!
