Great location and a beautiful hotel
Excellent location. Beautiful hotel in the heart of Colombo. Close to the beach, shopping and markets. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was unbelievable - so much choice and the quality was outstanding. We had a beach view room which was very good and the view was fantastic. Just a great place to stay.

Nice stay, but there are areas to improve
The location was good, at the heart of Colombo, with easy access to the other parts of Colombo. The coffee shop and the bar in the lobby are very nice to have a quick snack or a coffee. I have stayed here several times before, but unfortunately, I noticed a couple of concerns this time. Upon entering, I noticed that the room was not properly cleaned. There was a sticky substance on the work table, perhaps spilt soda or something. I had to notify the cleaning staff to clean the table, but that didn't happen until the second day.
There is no direct access to the laundry, and I had to contact them through the reception, which was very frustrating, as I was often put on hold for 5–10 minutes at a time. It was not convenient at all! To add to the list of annoyances, the hotel organises live music during the festive season, with mediocre bands playing dated music in the lobby. Noise pollution!
However, the quality of the food remains the best out there in Colombo. The breakfast and dinner buffets are fantastic and consistently high quality.
