Atmosphere is amazing, room is clean and comfy, my favorite thing about Marriott is the friendly staff always trying to see a smile on your face.
My best experience has been with Mr.Chamidu my room attendant, and the house keeping team, I’ve attached the highlight of my trip, which I should say always made me laugh and smile.
Great hotel

A wonderful dining experience at Courtyard by Marriott Colombo. We had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and were very well looked after by Ishara Indrajith, who provided excellent service and made us feel truly welcome. The food was very good, with a great variety of options to choose from. We really enjoyed our evening and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Colombo.
Having dinner here in the restaurant, food are good and the atmosphere is good. The young boy that serves my table, Randima, was very polite and professional.
Good Atmosphere with clean room enjoyed my free night
Siva, the F&B Manager at the buffet restaurant, is simply exceptional. Every morning, he personally checks on us to ensure we have everything we need. He takes our orders for the dosai and hopper stations himself to minimize errors. He even brings the condiments without being asked. Every 10 minutes, he visits each table to make sure everything is in order. He was incredibly attentive to my little daughter’s needs, and her favorite part of breakfast was talking to Mr. Siva every morning.
During our nine-day stay at the Marriott, we were quite disappointed on the day Siva was on leave. Some of the female serving staff members require additional training in efficiency, hygiene, and hotel protocols. They neglected to clean and change the previous guests’ place settings and cutlery before seating us.
Kavindu, our server at the buffet restaurant, consistently impressed us with his professionalism. From the way he meticulously sets the table to the way he takes and delivers our orders, his attention to detail was evident. On the days he served us, we felt like royalty. His kindness and caring words further enhanced the quality of our experience.
Pasindu, our housekeeping personnel has been incredibly helpful. He efficiently takes care of all our needs. Occasionally, I’ve had a long list of requests written down for him. He ensures that every item is ticked off and leaves a note behind, confirming that everything has been taken care of.
I would recommend this hotel based on the service and the breathtaking view from my 17th-floor ocean-view room, rather than on the quality and taste of the food. I had the opportunity of experiencing most breakfast and lunch buffets at other top-notch five-star hotels during my trip to Sri Lanka. In comparison to other five star hotels in the Galleface row, the food is not that spicy. Tourists may find this fact a plus point. The variety is lesser so small spread.
Every night for the entire nine-night stay, my family and I were disturbed by loud mechanical noises coming from above, which made most nights quite restless. Also, on the day of check-in, there wasn’t a hotel personnel outside to assist with my heavy large baggages. Fortunately, my taxi driver was kind enough to put them through the scanner. Once the heavy lifting was over, and I entered the premises the concierge desk promised to send my baggages upstairs. I felt like I was back in USA.
