Muslim Guests Deserve Respect
I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience with Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo.
During a wedding inquiry, my daughter was humiliated by Mrs. Madu, a leader in the banquet section, regarding the clothing she was wearing. As a Muslim family, we believe we have the right to dress according to our faith and personal beliefs, and we expected to be treated with dignity and respect.
What happened was deeply offensive to us and left us feeling that our religious and cultural identity was not respected. I have raised this matter with the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama and relevant Muslim organizations because I believe incidents like this should be taken seriously.
I hope the hotel management investigates this incident properly and ensures that every guest is treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of their religion, culture, or manner of dress.
Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage Muslim families to carefully consider this experience before choosing this hotel for their weddings or other events.

The service team was equally impressive. Captain Nethma and the entire team were attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the experience. They were always ready to assist with a genuine smile and ensured that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of.
